DIVERSE WAYS BY WHICH GOD SPEAKS (Part 2) Hebrews 1:1-2 Encounters, dreams and visions are good and God uses them but they are not His best way of communicating with us. They are not 100% safe and must be checked with the Word of God. That we have visions, encounters and dreams from God does not mean we know God or know Him by His word, 1Samuel 3:7. One is chaff the other one is wheat, Jeremiah 23:28. Job said I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear but now mine eye seeth thee, Job 42:5. Talking of two different ways by which he has come to know God. Samuel had an encounter with God through vision but He didn't know God by His word, yet he was already an established prophet and God did not allow his words to fall to the ground, 1Samuel 3:19.
