Rather we have been tried by everything and have been overcome by everything. You can't say you are not an envious person when you have never had to watch others promoted over and over again and you remain in the same spot. You can't say you are not insecured when you have never been with someone of equal stature with you and your position or office or ministry is threatened. These are the kinds of things God allows around our lives to reveal the true state of our heart to us and make us better. Jeremiah 48:11 says Moab hath been at ease from his youth and he hath settled on his Lee's and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity. THE OVERCOMING LIFE Romans 8:37 Ability to recognize things for what they really are is a real miracle. The Bible does not leave us in the dark about this, Luke 24:30-32&45, John 20:14-16. As you are growing in your walk with God one of the things that will be happening to you on an increasing level is your ability to see (recognition), 2Corinthians 4:3&4, Ephesians 4:18. Unfortunately a born again christian can fall into the category of being blind because what we call being born again is your spirit being enlightened not your mind. You can be born again but your mind is still very dark so you don't see things as they are at all. By this I mean you don't recognize what is going on around your life from the spiritual perspective. To live the overcomer's life you must be able to recognize what is happening around you and call it what it truly is. You must see things for what they really are. HAPPY NEW YEAR! THE CONCEPT OF ANNUAL WATCHWORD NUMBERS 23:19 As we grow in God, a time comes when we are separated from general things and given specific things. It doesn't mean we don't participate in general things again but we begin to come into awareness of the specifics of our destiny in God. At such times, apart from what Jesus is saying to the general congregation in a local assembly (Revelations 1:11) He can tell you specific things that He will be doing for you in a particular year. For this reason you can have a general watchword and a specific watchword for a year. However, that God gives you a specific watchword for a year does not mean He will always give you like that every year. If you receive a specific watchword last year but you don't receive anything specific this year, nothing has gone wrong with you, what that means is you should go with the general.
