Proverbs 27:10



HOW MANY CURRENCIES DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE PURCHASES IN LIFE?


Whenever we hear the word currency what comes to our mind is money like Naira, Pounds, Dollar, Euro, Pasewa, Yen e.t.c. 


Often times we have concentrated on things that can bring us money like education, skills, business. These things are good but they are not enough. 


Infact, if the only currency you have to make purchases in life is money you don't have much.


Have you ever considered that what money can do, good relationships can do too? There are doors that money cannot open but good relationships will open. 


So good relationship is a currency. Have you ever done something for somebody because of the relationship they have with you? Has someone ever done something for you because of the relationship you had with them? 


We are not taught this in school but good relationship is a currency, it gives you what money will give you and much more. It can open doors that money and skill and certificate will never open. Relationships can bring you money, give you skill and education.


Many because of money have lost valuable relationships; they chose money above relationship. 


One thing about relationship is that it takes time and effort to build, a price which many of us are not willing to pay.  


Another thing is that we have been taught either consciously or unconsciously that if it doesn't begin to bring immediate returns, it is not worth spending time and effort on. 


Money gives immediate gratification so we prefer it to good relationships whose gratification is delayed many times but yield long term dividend. 


Relationships are like a tree, you have to nurture them, cultivate them prune them to get the fruits it has to offer. 


The Word of God which is our map for life is full of examples of good relationships as well as bad ones too. 


What usually happens when we hear messages on relationships is that it spurs us to want to begin to cultivate every relationship around us but we need wisdom. 


We need the help of the Holy Spirit because it is in His light that we see light, Psalm 36:9. While as we have opportunity we must be good to all  men, Galatians 6:10; we need the Holy Spirit to lead us into relationships that will matter in our future. 


People have chosen relationships carnally and have wasted time, effort and resources. 


You may look to have relationships with the high and mighty but they are actually on their way out whereas the very ones that are very low and seemingly have nothing to offer now are the ones the Holy Spirit is directing you to. 


Even though nothing is happening in their lives now they are the high and mighty of tomorrow. 


At other times, it is the high and mighty that you must begin to build relationships with. They are the ones that will lift you into the future God has prepared for you, the Bible says the lesser is blessed of the greater, Hebrews 7:7.


That is why you can't be carnal about it, but depend on the Holy Spirit to help you and when He shows you believe what He shows you......while you have light believe in the light, that you may be children of light, John 12:36. 


As good as money is, it is only one currency but there are other currencies you must have too. Be a man or woman of many currencies.  


RELATIONSHIP IS A CURRENCY AND WE WILL DO WELL TO PAY ATTENTION TO IT. NOBODY MAKES IT ON THEIR OWN, WE ALL NEED GOOD  RELATIONSHIPS. 


It doesn't have to be many many like that but few good ones are what you need.


In my next post I will be sharing with us other currencies we need to have to make purchases of what we need in life. 


The aim of this teaching is to take our focus away from money as the only currency that we need to have to purchase what we need in life and start acquiring those other currencies too as part of our arsenal for life. 


Now, we are going to pray:


-Ask God to make this message a revelation to you and not just a message. 

-Ask Him to give you eyes that see good relationships that you must nurture and cultivate. 

-Ask Him to take away bad relationships from your life;  and those relationships that serve as hinderance for good relationships to come into your life, He should take away.


Salvation is found in none else, for there is no name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved, except the name of Jesus. 


You may be reading this post and you have not yet given your life to Jesus. This is another opportunity for you to make that decision for Jesus by saying this prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart: 


Lord Jesus, I love You with all my heart. I believe that You are the Son of God that died and she'd His blood for my sins. Today, I receive Your life and I declare that I am Yours. 


Congratulations you are now born again!

SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

SPIRITUALLY AMBITIOUS OR A GOD SEEKER? PSALM 24:6 Just as one can be ambitious physically, one can also be ambitious spiritually too.  Sometime ago, I listened to a preacher and he mentioned the number of hours he spent praying and I was challenged.  Right in that meeting I made up my mind to jack up my prayer life and I set it as a goal.
