HONOUR AND RESPECT

Romans 12:10


Honour and Respect are two life currencies that many people have not mastered well, particularly the younger generation(youth). 


Just the same way honour and respect can open a door for you that money cannot open, disrespect and dishonour can also close a door against you. 


So, we must master these two life currencies. They are a force. Let these two forces always go ahead of you in whatever you do. Give honour to whom honour is due and respect people whether great or small, poor or rich. 


Some will take it for granted, some will read meaning into it, but many will respond to it positively.


Life is such that you will never be able to do everything by yourself, you need others to do things for you. 


There will be places in life where you need someone to speak for you. What will the person say about you? 


The cheapest way to write your name in the good book of people is to honour and respect them. 


You and I know how we feel when we are honoured or respected, it is the same way that others feel when we honour and respect them too. 


So let it always go ahead of you, send honour and respect ahead and watch doors open for you. 


Someone that has no business helping you will go all the way to help and if he can't help he tells you how to go about it. 


There is nothing fashionable about being rude, it adds nothing to you rather it reduces your worth in people's mind and shut doors in your face. 


The Bible says a gentle answer turns away wrath, Proverbs 15:1. There is a way  you can treat people that will make them to respond well to you even when they don't intend to do so. 


No one likes people that are proud and saucy no matter how rich, handsome, beautiful or well connected they are. 


It doesn't cost you anything to help your boss carry his bag from his car to his office, you are not being servile, you honour him. 


God demands that we honour Him(Malachi 1:6) and not only should we honour God we must also give honour to our fellow men to whom honour is due, Romans 13:7.



It doesn't reduce your worth as a boss to treat with respect those under you. Nobody is unimportant and everybody has their day. 


Someone may not be of much assistance to you in the office because he is your cleaner but he can be of great assistance to you outside of your office environment. 


Honour those that have gone ahead of you and respect those coming behind you. 


Money is not everything, there are other things you must begin to add to money and if you don't have money, develop these qualities in you and they will bring money to you and open doors for you. 


The Holy Spirit told me a time is going to come when there won't be a famine of food and money so to say but a famine of people. 


People will build business but will lack people of integrity and good character to manage it for them. 


Those that have taken their time to build these qualities when others are busy despising every other life currencies just to have more money will be the ones in demand then. 


The Holy Spirit told me, make sure these qualities are in you and abound in them. 


Just the same way the Bible tells us those things we need to add to our faith to make  it effective, there are other currencies you need to have apart from money or add to money. 


Add to money, good relationship, add to money a good name, add to money, loyalty and committment, add to money, honour and respect. 


For if these things be in you and abound they make sure that you  shall neither be barren or unfruitful.......... 2Peter 1:8a. 


The Bible went on to say that he that lacketh these things is blind  and cannot see afar off......., 2Peter 1:9a. 


Disarm yourself of the mindset that money is all you need to possess to run your life effectively. 


Give diligence to add all these other things to your life, they make your life failure proof, for if you do these things you shall never fail, 2Peter 1:10. 


Start building those qualities and let them increase in you and watch in shock and wonder as they open doors for you in life.


Moreso, they are seeds that you will reap. If you want honour sow honour, if you want respect sow respect. Respect is reciprocal.

SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

CHANGE FOCUS One major winning strategy is to keep your focus on what God is doing and not on what God is yet to do.  The devil is very adept at making people focus their attention either on what he is doing in their lives or on what God is not doing for them  This is the reason for sadness and depression.
