CURRENCY NUMBER 6

WISDOM

Proverbs 4:7, 24:3


Wisdom is a principal life currency. 


The command given to us by God is: GET WISDOM! 


The Bible says WIsdom is the principal thing, so get wisdom and in all your gettings get understanding, Proverbs 4:7. 


What this means is that no matter what it is that we have gotten without these two things what we have gotten will not be too useful to us, we can't make much out of them. 


And who wants to accumulate things that are not useful to him?


As important as knowledge is, it is just an accumulation of information. 


Understanding processes those information and WIsdom applies it in such a way that it becomes useful to us for practical living. 


As important as reading the Word of God is, until it begins to dwell in us in all wisdom we don't profit much from it, Colossians 3:16a. 


Before we can say we are rich in the Word of God, it is at the wisdom level not knowledge level. 


It is wisdom that builds a house, understanding establishes it and knowledge fills it with every good and precious things, Proverbs 24:3&4


There is an example I usually give which I am going to give again. 


It takes a lot of materials to build a house, cement, blocks, rope, pegs, roofing sheet, burglary, windows, gates, locks, doors, woods, nails, asbestos e.t.c 


Knowledge is knowing everything you need to build a house and gathering them together. 


But do you have a house? No! 


You don't even know what some of the materials you have gathered are used for but you have them all the same because you know somewhere along the building they will be needed even though you don't know at what point each should come in. 


Understanding is knowing what each of those materials is used for. 


However, that you know what each of those materials is used for does not mean you have a house yet. 


Wisdom is knowing when each of those materials should come in , until then you don't have a house. 


This is why the three always walk together, knowledge, understanding and wisdom. You can't separate them. 


However out of the three, it is wisdom that is celebrated. It is wisdom that takes the glory.


Wisdom is not useful without knowledge because there is nothing to apply that wisdom to. 


Likewise understanding is useless without knowledge because there is nothing to understand. 


So knowledge kick start the process but it is wisdom that builds the house. 


A furnished completed house is what we have when all these three are well interplayed. 


These three things are the building blocks of life, you interact with them everyday whether consciously or unconsciously. 


They are part of the seven Spirit of God, Isaiah 11:2. 


Wisdom gives tangibility to knowledge and understanding, it gives you result that is evident for all to see. 


Wisdom makes you profit from knowledge. You can know what the Bible says but not benefit much from it because you don't know how to apply what you know for practical living. 


Without wisdom you may not be able to get the most out of all the other life currencies. 


WIsdom is the joggler that joggles all other life currencies at the right pace and the right speed. 


It is also like a lubricant that makes all the other life currencies to function properly as they interplay and interact one with another. 


Wisdom is a person and there are two kinds of wisdom, Proverbs 8, James 3:13-18. I will continue from here in my next post by God's grace.

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

CHANGE FOCUS One major winning strategy is to keep your focus on what God is doing and not on what God is yet to do.  The devil is very adept at making people focus their attention either on what he is doing in their lives or on what God is not doing for them  This is the reason for sadness and depression.
