LIFE CURRENCY NUMBER 3
(PART 2)
Psalm 78:8, Proverbs 17:17
I will continue from where I stopped in my last post.
I started by showing us what loyalty and committment means and the differences between the two.
I also talked about how you may need either or both at different times and seasons in your life.
I also showed us how that both are a two edged responsibility, loyalty and committment from others to you and from you to others.
My post today will be addressed to those of us who have found a course or an entity(person or organization) to which we have to be loyal.
Don't forget we are still talking about loyalty and committment as one of the currencies of life.
Just the same way you can use money to make purchases in life you can also use loyalty and committment to make purchases in life.
I want to assume that the people I am talking to today have found a course to which they have to be loyal or committed or both.
If you have not, ask God to show you what or who you must be loyal and committed to. So, my question is how loyal or committed are you to that course?
Some don't have anything they are committed to and as such their strength and focus is scattered every where.
The way a laser beam is used to cut through a metal is by focusing all its rays on the spot where the cut is to be made.
Let me ask you again are you committed?Life makes room for committed people.
If you are committed to your studies, it is only a matter of time before you will be noticed and that committment will take you to places beyond your widest imaginations.
It will open doors for you that others are using money to open or can't even get opened at all.
It is those that are loyal to a course that imprints their name in the sand of time.
If I mention Jesus, what comes to your mind immediately is the SAVIOUR of the world. Even though he was, the son of Joseph the carpenter, it will take you a long that time to remember that. You know why? Because, He was not committed and loyal to carpentry.
lf I mention Ken Saro Wiwa, you will remember the struggle for the Ogoni people. Apart from the struggle for Ogoni people I don't know what work Ken Saro Wiwa did or which course he studied in school.
I remember some years back I started going to a particular place to pray just to get away from the noise around and I was committed to that excercise.
I was only doing it to be with the Lord and enjoy His presence but before long that committment began to draw attention and things started happening.
That act of committment has opened doors of ministration and mentorship for me that I was not looking for.
Nothing is too small to be committed to, no course is too little to be loyal to. Let your theme in life be: "Whatever I do, I do it well". Be faithful to it! The crown is given to those that are faithful to the end.
Has the Lord given you instructions on your finances? Don't do it for 2 years and say I am tired, be committed to it.
Did the Lord ask you to teach a group of teenagers? Don't say I have been doing it for 2years I am not seeing any changes in them yet.
It is not about result first, it is about obedience first, your own obedience. Be loyal and committed to that assignment.
You can't judge disobedience when your obedience is not complete(fulfilled). There is a cycle of obedience you must complete, to judge disobedience in that particular area, 2Corinthians 10:6.
Also, there is time attached to every work and purpose on earth, Ecclesiastes 3:1,17. There is a due season, a time of showing forth, a season of appearing, so you need patience.
Not until the third year, the vineyard owner didn't look for fruits on the tree he planted and when he couldn't find it, he continued dressing it for one more year, Luke 13:6-9.
How many of us can stay loyal and committed to a thing for that long? Have you fasted consistently for 5years, Have you prayed consistently for 5years. Have you tithed consistently for 10years? Be committed! Be faithful! Be loyal!
There are instructions that the Lord gave me and I have been obeying for close to three years now, it is just recently that I began to see consistent result that I can attribute to that obedience.
My prayer for you this morning is that, whatever it is you are doing, receive the grace to stay loyal and committed to it till the end in Jesus name.
Pray and ask the Lord to give you grace for complete obedience and not change your instructions before the results begin to show.
PEACE
SALVATION PRAYER
Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:
Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.
Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!
PEACE
