MAXIMIZING DIVINE VISITATION

(PART 2)

LUKE 19:44b

There will be times in our walk with God that we will have visitations from the Lord. It is a visitation because it is not an experience that will be there forever. It is only made available for a season. For example you can have the voice of God coming to you in an unusual and greater measure than you are accustomed to. 


Let's say you only access the voice of God in prayer but suddenly you realize His voice comes to you effortlessly whether you are in prayer or not. It is a time of visitation, maximize it. 


By maximizing it I mean take advantage of that moment to receive all that God wants to say to you in that season. 


That is not the time to bang the door of heaven as if God cannot be found He has come to you, so sit down and listen to what He has to say. 


Habakkuk said I will watch to see what he will say to me, Habakkuk 2:1. There are times to pray and there are times to be still and watch what He will say unto you. You have done the asking but now it's time to receive.


That is the time to get your notebook and write for what He has come to tell you are faithful and true. 


What you will get in a time if divine visitation you may not be able to access in ten years of asking and seeking, so don't joke with your times of visitation. 


Jerusalem as a city did not know her time of visitation so what should not have happened to her if she had maximized her time of visitation from the Lord happened to her, Luke 19:43&44. 


You may have noticed that a particular grace has been suddenly withdrawn from you or reduced  but another grace has increased in your life, it could be you are in a period of visitation. 


It does not mean you are backslidden but the Holy Spirit is putting you in a shape that can make you maximize the dimension that He is now communicating to you. 


Your capacity to fast increases but it is not accompanied with the capacity to pray, before you call it hunger strike it could be that you are being prepared to receive what God wants to bring because you don't only fast to pray well, you also fast to receive what God wants to give you. 


Moses fasted 40days and night to receive the ten commandments and the sayings of God for Israel, Exodus 34:27&28. He didn't fast to pray as what we call prayer, he fasted to receive what God wants to say to His people


Sometimes what the Holy Spirit is doing to you is bringing you to a position of being still because it takes stillness of your impulses to receive His own impulses and distinguish it from your own and that is what is happening to you. 


But the more the Holy Spirit is trying to bring you to that state the more you call it backslidding and get up to do some more activities. 


That way you will be missing a deeper dimension of knowing Him that God wants to bring you into, Psalms 46:10. 


You suppose to maximize that visitation but you wasted it because you are not discerning and sensitive. 


It is not only prophets sent to you that you can kill and throw stones at, you can also cast and murder divine visitations sent to you from the Lord if you can't recognize them, Isaiah 27:11b, Isaiah 65:2.


There are dimensions of God that you will only receive through prayer. Some you will receive through the study of the word. 


There are dimensions of God that you will only know through your obedience, some it is through stillness that you will know it, Psalm 46:10.


For example that you pray so much does not necessarily mean you will trust God more. It is through the dimension of meditation and obedience that your trust and confidence in God will shoot to the roof! 


Rick Joyner said my greatest regret in life was that I didn't listen to God more. He did other things more but not listening to God and there were things God could have shown him, say to him and usher him into that his not being available to listen robbed him off. Let us be careful.


I remember a great man of God, Apostle Arome Osayi shared in one of his messgaes how he travelled to Dubai and he wanted to eat and he ordered for food. 


The food that was brought to him was not what he ordered for and what was brought he couldn't eat it so he went to sleep without food. 


He didn't know that the Lord was planning to visit Him that night and his going to bed on empty stomach was a preparation to host that visitation from the Lord. 


He could have insisted on not going to bed without eating and would have missed the real reason behind the food scenario. 


This doesn't mean God can't visit you if you eat before going to bed I only cited that as an example to buttress what I am saying.


Not every part of the mountain deliver the same result. As God is bringing us into these different dimensions let us be discerning and sensitive and not quench the spirit of God. 


Many many times the good has always been the enemy of the better. Let us trust the Holy Spirit that He knows what He is doing with us per time and as He teaches us, let us abide in Him, 1John 2:27.


PRAYER: LORD baptize me with anointed recognizition, give me discernment so that I will recognize it when you are visiting me and not call good evil and call evil good in Jesus name.

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

SPIRITUALLY AMBITIOUS OR A GOD SEEKER? PSALM 24:6 Just as one can be ambitious physically, one can also be ambitious spiritually too.  Sometime ago, I listened to a preacher and he mentioned the number of hours he spent praying and I was challenged.  Right in that meeting I made up my mind to jack up my prayer life and I set it as a goal.
