PROTECT YOUR VISION

Hosea 4:6

Protect your vision. Vision can die or get cloudy if not nurtured and protected.

One way to protect your vision is by surrounding yourself with things that encourage your vision and make it clearer.

You nurture your vision by feeding it with the right kind of diet and subjecting it to the right atmospheric conditions.

Surround yourself with people that believes in your vision. Nothing kills a vision faster than negative people.

There are people and things that God has put in place to help your vision grow and become more real to you.

Our number one and ultimate mentor is the Holy Spirit. Whenever the vision wants to get dim or we want to lose focus, He helps us to get our focus back and He leads us to things and people that will make that vision become clear again to us.

You won't know everything about your vision at once, it will be revealed to you bit by bit.

When God called Abraham and asked him to leave his father's house, He didn't abandon him on the way.

Infact, everytime Abraham began to lose focus and the vision gets blurry, God comes again to come and reinforce that vision.

In Genesis 15:8 when Abraham asked God how he would know that his seed would inherit the land, God asked him to bring somethings to sacrifice and at the end of that sacrifice, he revealed the future to him, Genesis 15:13-18.

At the end of the whole experience, he had more information and was more sure that God is still involved in it.

There was a time God brought him out to count the stars when he began to think that Eleazar his servant would be the one to inherit him, Genesis 15:1-7.

By so doing, God was giving him a picture to be looking at inorder to strengthen his faith. Anytime the vision wanted to get cloudy, God showed up to reinforce it.

The covenant of circumcision was a sign in the body that what God said to Abraham would still come to pass but now he has to walk before God and be perfect.

That is, he should stop trying to use his own human strength and wisdom to bring to pass in his life the promise of God, Genesis 17:1.

The changing of Abraham and Sarah's name was God reinforcing the vision again that it is still intact, Genesis 17:5&15.

What I am saying is that God doesn't give you a vision once and abandon you to figure it out on your own.

He comes to you from time to time especially at those times when it seems nothing is happening and the vision is getting cloudy/blurry.

He has put men(father's, mentors, teachers, friends e.t.c) and things(books, tapes, visions, dreams, signs, circumstances e.t.c) in place to help us all the way.

Every vision always come as a seed, small and seemingly insignificant. Infact you can throw it away as not important because it doesn't not look like anything worthy of too much attention.

There is a time that the vision will look like a lie because it is not yet speaking, Habakkuk 2:3. However in that tiny seed is a tree, even a forest.

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!
