THE HELPER OF ISRAEL

ISAIAH 41:14

One of the names that God is called in the Bible is The Helper of Israel. The Holy Spirit is called Our Helper.  God is in the business of helping men by sending help to men.


Not asking God for help is pride. If you did everything by yourself you can't give God the glory. 


Many of us have been trying to do a lot of things by ourselves and the weight of the whole thing is killing us because we have not learnt how to ask the Holy Spirit for His help. 


It is not only the fatherless and the widows that God is their helper, He is your helper too.


You know the sad thing is watching people who don't do as much as you you do, have a better result than you because they have mastered the act of asking God for help. 


They asked God to help them with their finances and He showed them what to do. This is not to endorse irresponsibility and laziness.


The children are doing well not necessarily because the parents were available everytime and did everything right but somewhere in the equation they asked God for help and He answered and wrote His law upon the heart of their children. 


This is not to neglect our role and responsibilities but no matter how much we try and how responsible we are it may not give us the kind of result that is commensurate to our effort, it takes the help of God, 2Chronicles 26:15b, 1Chronicles 12:22, Acts 26:22. 


There is a God that can multiply little to look like much when we cry for His help. He magnify the shuffling of the feet of four lepers to look like the rushing of a mighty army! (2Kings 7:3-8) What can He not do if only we will ask for His help!


You don't have to do everything by yourself, ask God to send help to you. I want you to cry God help me! 


This is one prayer that must not be far from our mouth at all. God will not help us until we ask Him to. God help those who ask for His help. 


The Bible says you have not because you ask not, James 4:2. Ask, the Bible says and it shall be given unto you.....for everyone that asketh receiveth, Matthew 7:7-8


You must learn to constantly say LORD I CAN'T DO IT ON MY OWN, I NEED YOUR HELP. It is not a sign of weakness, it is humbling yourself before God and God gives grace to the humble.


When you don't know what else to do or pray, ask Him for His help and ask Him for His mercy. 


If all you keep saying for one hour of prayer is help and mercy you have really prayed. It will not be everytime you are strong enough to blast in tongues for hours and put your prayer into coherent words. At such time it is okay to lie down and cry for help for hours. 


Jesus during the days of His flesh offered up  prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save Him and HE WAS HEARD in that He feared, Hebrews 5:7.


One name God is called is an ever present help in time of need, Psalm 46:1 The Holy Spirit is called our helper but have you been asking Him for His help? John 16:7


I don't want to sit down for hours trying to reason and figure out what to  do when with one genuine cry for help, the Holy Spirit can reveal the solution to me in few second. 


The help of God simplifies our lives and make us achieve so much. There is even what is called the helps ministry in the Bible, 1Corinthians 12:28. 


If it is not important, it would not have been included in the Bible. There is only so little we can achieve on our own, we need help of God through others.


The bible says we should come boldly unto the throne of grace, they we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need, Hebrews 4:16. 


There are things that I want us to do as we journey into this month. Look out for those areas of your life where you need help and ask God to send you help, Psalm 20:2. 


Secondly, sow a seed of help into someone's life all through this month. It doesn't have to be money necessarily, just try to make someone's life easy this month and you will surely reap an harvest of helps.


Be intentional about asking God to send you help all through this month for IT IS OUR MONTH OF HELPSSSSSS!


I pray for you that you will receive the help of the Lord continually until you become very strong in Jesus name.

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

CHANGE FOCUS One major winning strategy is to keep your focus on what God is doing and not on what God is yet to do.  The devil is very adept at making people focus their attention either on what he is doing in their lives or on what God is not doing for them  This is the reason for sadness and depression.
