THE HIDING PLACE OF THE ANOINTING

Sometimes the anointing we are looking for, God hides it for us in strange places. We think we will find it in prayer but it is not there.


Then we add fasting to it, still it seems to elude us and then we try the word, still we can't find it.


Sometimes, it is in serving in strange places that does not look like it at all that you will encounter the anointing you need to fulfil your own destiny.


God can tell you serve this old widow till the day of her death. Ruth served Naomi and encountered her destiny.


Naomi looked like the most unlikely person to carry the anointing that Ruth needs as a very young widow to fulfil her destiny, Ruth 3:1-6. Thank God for discernment on Ruth's part.


Sometimes that anointing is not on the pulpit as you preach but in washing the chairs that others sit on.


Moses served Jethro a midianite priest not a Jewish priest and there he encountered the anointing he needed to do destiny.


Joseph served the most seemingly unlikely people, Potiphar, the Warder in the prison e.t.c.


The anointong that would make him the deliverer that God has called him in destiny is not in his fathers house but in Egypt while serving the most unlikely men, Genesis 39:22.


It was as David was following the sheep and rescuing them from lions and bear that he encountered the anointing that would later make him a king.


God found him and chose him while he was following the sheep not human beings and went to disclose his identity to Samuel, Psalm 89:20.


It is a waste of time looking for a man of God to anoint you with oil when God has not found you.


God chose David by how he served those sheep and cattle. That tells me God can disqualify a man by how he served the animals in his house.


What is your qualifying test? Where has God hid the anointing you need for your destiny? It may be in the most unlikely places.


You can be chosen or disqualified by how you serve your children, your boss at work, your husband or wife, your man of God.


Some serve their Pastors but maltreat their spouses and children and never encounter the anointing they are fervently looking for because they did not realize the anointing has a hiding place. It is not everywhere. 


It may not be with your pastor but with your parents, it may not be with your parents but with your boss. It may not be with your boss but with your mother in law. It may not be with your mother in law but with your Pastor..


Moses served a midianite priest not a Jewish priest, Exodus 2:16-20. Joseph served Potiphar and the Prison warder not his father or brothers, Genesis 39:2, , 22&23.


If Elisha had studied the Pentatuch and the Torah back to back he would still not have encountered the anointing he needed for his destiny to happen.


If he had prayed and fasted 40 days dry back to back he still would not have encountered it.


God hid the anointing for his destiny in the place of service, serving his master.  Elisha the servant of Elijah that poured water on the hands of Elijah, 2Kings 3:11


Not Elisha the son of prophet that prayed 40days and night and read the bible back to back 6times in a year.


Where has God hiden the anointing for your destiny? Ask him! Don't just go about seeking it your own way, ask Him to show you, Isaiah 53:6a, Proverbs 1:31.


Gordon Lindsay encountered the healing anointing as he was busy, faithfully writing the accounts of the healing taking place through the hands of the healing ministers during the healing revival of the 70's and 80's.


He was not part of them from the onset but he was numbered among them later.


How? He found the place where God has hid the anointing for his destiny. Where? As he faithfully report the account of the healings; that anointing fell on him too......in the place of service.


Serve your way into the anointing and when you are anointed it is to the end that you might continue serving, Mark 10:45, Luke 22:26 .


God anointed Jesus with Holy Ghost and with power and *HE WENT ABOUT* doing good...., Acts 10:38a. Now, that is service.


As good and spiritual and scriptural some things are it does not negate the place of asking, Matthew 7:7.


After you have done all these things(fasting, praying, studying the Word ) and you still can't find the anointing for your destiny, ask the Lord to show you where he has hidden for you the anointing you need for your destiny.


When He shows you what you must do, then do it with all your might, John 2:5, Luke 10:27. But make sure you are not running without the anointing.


PRAYER: FATHER, OPEN MY EYES TO SEE WHERE YOU HAVE HIDDEN THE ANOINTING FOR MY DESTINY.  I PROMISE TO BE FAITHFUL.


SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

SPIRITUALLY AMBITIOUS OR A GOD SEEKER? PSALM 24:6 Just as one can be ambitious physically, one can also be ambitious spiritually too.  Sometime ago, I listened to a preacher and he mentioned the number of hours he spent praying and I was challenged.  Right in that meeting I made up my mind to jack up my prayer life and I set it as a goal.
