THERE IS A RIGHT TIME TO START

ECCLESIASTES 3:1

There will always be a starting point for your assignment.

Jerusalem was the starting point for the disciples but ends of the earth was the goal, Acts 1:8

Every assignment from God has a starting point. It starts from somewhere, then move to somewhere and is going somewhere.

Not starting well can end your ministry abruptly and send you out of your God ordained territory in a jiffy.

You must wait on God to receive the strategy for how to start and where to start from.

One wrong approach and nothing much can be done again, so you must get it right.

THE RESOURCES FOR THE WORK

When God sends He backs it with provision.

Not only the calling must come from Him, even the resources to do the calling must also come from Him.

Anytime God asks us to do something in the ministry, He confirms it by sending the resources without asking anyone.

The resources would just start coming in. It has happened many times this way.

I remember when we wanted to start printing our messages into tracts, we only made our intention known and someone just came and ask for how much the printer would cost and paid for it.

The same thing happened when at a point I felt the work involved in running a particular arm of the ministry was too stressful and I was going to shut down that arm.

However, the Lord said we should not stop. Without asking anyone for anything; God began to move people and they started giving to the work.

It was such a great confirmation and encouragement from the Lord that He is in it.

God will only sponsor what He ask you to do, so if you add something He didn't ask you to add you will struggle and be the one to sponsor it yourself.

We make that mistake every now amd then, but we learn and keep getting better everytime.

When you sense there is too much struggle in an area check whether He is in it.

That reminds me of what the bible says that when I sent you without purse or scrip, lackest thou anything? Luke 22:35, Mark 6:7-9, Matthew 10:9&10.

It has happened so many times like that, either God sends gifted men or resources.

There is a reason God instructed them not to take anything, provision is a major indices of the calling. You can use divine provision to validate a calling.

Don't just rush to start because you have a message. Ask Him to show you where the resources will come from.

You will need that answer on the journey. It is not lack of faith to ask, it is wisdom.

He may tell you not to ask for one dime from anybody and for another He may instruct you to ask the people to contribute to the work from day one.

Our instructions will not be the same so you must get yours right.

THE TIMING FOR THE WORK

You must get this right.

That God spoke now does not mean the time to start is now.

Moses missed God's timing and he extended the suffering of Gods people by 40years, Exodus 2:11-15.

Not everytime is your time.

That all your friends are in ministry, or in business, in academics or politics or travelling overseas does not mean you should also do same or do it at that time.

The timing must be right and ripe.

How do you know when a fruit is ripe? You only need to shake the tree and the fruits start falling down, sometimes without shaking the tree the fruits fall off the tree on their own.

When you are using coercion and force, it is a sign that the fruit is not yet ripe.

Jesus told his brothers their time is always right but not Him. He knew the kind of work He is into and how important it is for Him to get the timing right, John 7:6-10.

If not, the devil can kill him and salavation would be aborted. It looks like these things are small small issues and don't really matter, but they do!

I can't emphasive this enough, your work for God and your walk with him is a marathon not a sprint. So run with patience, Hebrews 12:1b.

It will span your entire life time, so no point being in a hurry to start. Let God be the one to tell you when the timing is right.

MAKE SURE HE SENT YOU

You can be called but not sent and it will show in your report card.

Jesus told his disciples when I sent you lackest thou anything? Luke 22:35

When God sends a man, He backs Him. He confirms that truly He is the one that sent him.

That word 'BACK' means many things, power, resources, provision, anointing, gift of men, favour, protection, safety, defence, keeping e.t.c

Now imagine if a man sends himself, all these things will be lacking. That is disaster on his way to happen.

You don't have to expose yourself unnecessarily, stay with Him until He sends you, Matthew 10:1.

If the will of God is for you to be with Him for now, please remain.

The same things that the one that is already sent is enjoying is what you too will enjoy because you are both in His will.

It is those He called He justifies, not only those He sent. And those He justifies He also glorifies, so remain in the calling and He will glorify you in due time, Romans 8:30.

So whether you are sent already or just obeying the call, He takes care of you and provide all your needs and backs you because you are within his will.

You may not have the power of the one already sent because you are not yet sent but the devil will not be able to reach you as well. Until He sent them He didn't give them power over..... Mark 6:7

So, tarry with Him till He sends you.

Infact, the first call is not the call to serve Him but the call to be with him because you can't represent and serve well someone you haven't been with to know him, John 15:15

It is good to bear fruit, but your rooting is far more important than your fruiting, John 15:8

The formular is to take root first before bearing fruit, 2Kings 19:30.

When you start bearing fruit, you will need your root to sustain you; so take time to root well, John 15:6.

Sink your root deep into JESUS! Be a wise builder! Matthew 7:24-27, Colossians 2:7a

Pray and ask the lord to help you get it right on yoir journey to destiny fulfilment.

Take all these things we have discussed one by one and pray them over yourself.

Ask him to show you the details of your assignment so that you can be rooted and grounded in him.

Without understanding your call you can't be established in it.

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!
