WALK CIRCUMSPECTLY

EPHESIANS 5:1


Growth is sequential, in stages and there is what is needed for each stage of growth. 


You must understand growth as what comes in stages, nobody grow all at once. 


It is important that we identify what stage of growth we are in our walk with the Lord and the requirements for each stage of growth. 


Understanding is key in our walk with God, Proverbs 4:7. 


If you are going through process it is important that you know. If you are in the wilderness stage of your walk with God it is important that you know. If you are in the promised land it is important that you know. 


Understanding these things will help you know what you ought to be doing, 1Chronicles 12:32. 


Even though yam is food and it is good for our body you can't give yam to a two weeks old baby, it will kill that baby. 


Yam is good food to an adult but it is poison to a two weeks old baby. The same way in our walk with the Lord, not every kind of information is useful to us at every stage of growth. 


We needed to be guided into truth. This is the work of the Holy Spirit, He guides us into all truth, John 16:13. 


Jesus said He has many things to tell His disciples but they could not take it at that stage of growth, John 16:12. 


Once you identify what stage of growth you are, look for the body of knowledge that is suitable for that stage of growth. 


If you are in the wilderness, messages on waiting on God, process and the likes will strengthen you  more than messages on how to be born again and receiving the baptism of the Holy ghost, Hebrews 6:1. 


If you listen too much to messages on the milk and honey of Canaan land, you may begin to question and doubt the process that God is taking you through because you are not yet seeing those things in your life. 


A bit of information on Cannan land is okay to help you know what to look out for, Hebrews 13:7. 


However, when it become what you feed on primarily it may weaken you instead of strengthening you. 


Thanks be to the Holy Spirit who help us filter these things but we also have a role to play by walking circumspectly not as fools but as wise, Ephesians 5:15. 


Even though maize is good for food but maize on a cocoyam plantation is a weed not food. It will compete for the same nutrition that the cocoyam needs for its growth. 


Uproot every weed on your field by getting rid of information that doesn't strengthen you in the stage of growth that you are presently in.


I remember when I first gave my life to Jesus, I was given all kinds of messages from basic foundational teachings to ministers conference teachings and I devoured everything. 


After listening to some messages I would be so encouraged and strengthened, I just kept falling deeper in love with Jesus. 


However when I listened to others, I began to doubt and got discouraged and I questioned my salvation, doubted whether I was doing it right or not and I almost wanted to give up. I felt it was too much, and wondered if ever I would be able to cope. 


On one of such days, the  Holy Spirit spoke to me that I was feeding on a wrong diet because what I heard was not applicable to me at that stage of growth. It was like feeding a baby with strong bone instead of milk. 


Fast forward few years later those messages that were once not needed became the very thing that I so much needed and I was so so blessed listening to them. 


The amount of light that I got from them was unquantifiable and to think that was the very messages that almost killed my spiritual life few years ago. You know why? The timing was not right.


 Don't just pile up information one after the other, grow constructively this year. The Lord will help us in Jesus name. 


PRAYER: Father, show me what stage of growth I am in my walk with you. Ask the Holy to lead you to the body of knowledge you need to sustain you at that stage of growth.


SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

YOU ALSO HATH HE CALLED 1 CORINTHIANS 3:6-9 Imagine how hard the work of Apostle Paul would have been in the life of Timothy if there had been no Louise and Eunice to prepare the ground for his coming.   May be instead of finding him in church, he would have had to pick him up among drug addicts somewhere in town. MASTER AND OVERCOME MOCKERY PART TWO ISAIAH 51:7-8 I remember when the Lord instructed me to start a WhatsApp group and be sharing messages on it, many people started commenting and leaving the group, infact they left in droves.  When I got to the office the following day, some of my colleagues who were also part of the group their first reaction was to laugh me to scorn.  Even one of those very close to me couldn't just stop laughing at me. They laughed so much at me and I looked so foolish to myself that I decided to cancel the group.  But the Lord said I should go and re-create the group again which I did.
