IN CHRIST

PART 1

Colossians 1:12-14, 2:1

The reason why a believer will seek other options outside of Christ is because he has not seen the hope of his calling neither does he know the riches of the glory of his inheritance as a saint in light and what is the exceeding greatness of God's  power towards him.


In one word, He lacks understanding of the finished work of Christ and as a result does not know who he is in Christ. 


This is why Apostle Paul prayed fervently for the Ephesian church and not only for them but for us too who have come to believe in Christ.


That God will give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ and that the eyes of our understanding being enlightened, WE MAY KNOW 


First, the hope of God's calling, second, the riches of the glory of his heritance in th saints and third the exceeding greatness of God's  power in and to us believers Ephesians 1:17-19.


This teaching aims at bringing us into  knowing our rights in Christ, so that we can begin to walk in them experientially.


Everything God did to bring about salvation for mankind he wrought it in Christ, so only when you are in Christ can you walk in the salvation experience, Acts 4:12


Unlike in Genesis 1&2 when God created a new earth before Adam committed the high treason, the new earth God created now he created in a person called Jesus in whom high treason is impossible, Hebrews 4:15.


He did this to secure our lot so that satan can no longer hijack the earth again like he did for Adam, 2Corinthians 4:4


So everything you need to live a good life to be healed, prosperous, blessed and have eternal life is IN CHRIST. 


It is an insurance system to make sure that what happened with Adam never happened again. 


The fullness of God was in a man and everybody that is born through that man i.e comes through that man have access to all that God is and has, Colossians 2:9.


The first Adam was a living soul, his mistake cost man to lose his dominion on earth to satan, Psalm 115:16.


But the second Adam was a quickening spirit, in him was the earth restored back to its garden of Eden like nature, 1Corinthians 15:45


Only in Him can you experience that garden of Eden experience even though you are living in a world that is in chaos, darkness and confusion. 


When Adam sinned, the earth went back to its default state of chaos and confusion  as seen in Genesis 1:2. 


But instead of God recreating a new earth like he did in Genesis 1, he recreated a new earth in a man whom he has tested and proven that he can never commit high treason like Adam did. 


God did nothing to change anything on earth physically. He created a new earth in a man and said believe this man, that is, the second Adam and a new earth will automatically be yours. 


He did this to insure salvation of mankind so that it is impossible for satan to hijack it again like he did for Adam. 


Jesus is the author of salvation in the new testament and nothing satan is doing or will do can change that, Jesus cannot be deceived like the first Adam was, the salvation He authored is eternal,  Hebrews 10:10-14


He went through the same tests that Adam went through but unlike Adam, He passed all the tests and by this became the captain and authour of our salvation, Hebrews 2:10


So once you believe in Jesus, you are taken out of that darkness immediately and brought into light, that is out of a dark confused earth to another earth that is full of peace and joy and hope, Colossians 1:13.


This is what we mean when we say only in Christ can salvation be found. Outside of him it is darkness confusion hopelessness and despair, Ephesians 2:12-13.


The new earth and the new heaven, the Garden of Eden is in a person not an environment again and that person is Jesus Christ. 


Only in him can you have that very good experience on earth again, Genesis 1:31. 


So, it is important that you must be in HIM in Christ to enjoy this new life called heaven (Very good) on earth.


Everything God did to bring salvation to mankind he did it in Christ not outside of him. 


True light, true salvation is in Christ, there may be similitudes of light and salvation here and there but if it is God  kind of salvatuon and a true light it can only be found in Christ, John 1:4,5&9.


He is the true light that lighteth every man that came into the world, John 1:9. It is in Christ that we are made near unto God. 


It is in Him that we have peace. It is in Him that we are no longer under the infuence of the law of sin and death, because Christ is the end of the law to all them that believe, to the Jews first and then the Greeks, Romans 10:4


Part of the covenant that says theirs is the giving of the law has been replaced by Christ through faith, Ephesians 2:15.


It is through Christ that you and I have access to God by the same Spirit, the Holy Spirit.  


Without the Holy Spirit we can't have access to God because we don't have His Spirit and Jesus is the Baptiser with the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 2:18.


We will continue from here in my next post by God's grace to see what more priviledge and benefits that our being in Christ has offered unto us. 


These privileges and benefits are the inheritance of the saints in light.


PRAYER: LORD OPEN MY EYES TO SEE MY INHERITANCE IN YOU AND FURNISH ME WITH UNDERSTANDING OF MY CALLING IN YOU AND THE GREATNESS OF YOUR POWER TOWARDS ME.

SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

THE PARTICIPATORY ROLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOUR LIFE ESTHER 2:9&15 Esther did not just become attractive to king Ahasuerus and became his queen, she was taught what to do to win the heart of the king by Hegai who had charge of the harem.  Jesus handed us over to the Holy Spirit to continue His ministry on earth(John 15:26), to teach us what to do to please the Father and make us attractive to Him, John 14:26  But first of all, Esther had to please Hegai, an example of the Holy Spirit by recognizing and honoring his person, she respected his opinions and suggestions and because of this she found his favour, Esther 2:9.  It was after Esther had pleased Hegai, that he showed her what to do, how to appear before the king, what to take along to win the heart of the king.  Hegai did not delay the supply of Esther's beauty treatment and special food because she found favour in his sight. CHANGE FOCUS One major winning strategy is to keep your focus on what God is doing and not on what God is yet to do.  The devil is very adept at making people focus their attention either on what he is doing in their lives or on what God is not doing for them  This is the reason for sadness and depression.
