THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
PART 2
Romans 4:2-11
The consciousness of sin will not help us to stand before God, we qwill always be feeling condemned, 1John 3:21.
And this is exactly what the law does, it brings with it the consciousness of sin and with the consciousness of sin comes death because the wages of sin is death, Romans 7:8, Romans 6:23.
If we minister with sin consciousness the feedback we receive is death because the wages of sin is death but the gift of righteousness is eternal life and peace.
Only when you minister standing on the righteousness that is by faith can you minister eternal life and peace to men.
And in order to deal with sin consciousness in us, God decided to route righteousness through another means which is not by the law so He introduced righteousness by faith that has nothing at all to do with working for it, that is keeping the law.
So that no breaking of the law(sin) will be involved, Romans 7:7-13. He wanted to completely eradicate that sin consciousness from our approach both towards Him and the forces of darkness.
Only through righteousness by faith can this be achieved, that is only through simply believing that has nothing to do with works of the law.
Keeping the law will always bring sin consciousness because nobody can keep the whole law. Once you default in one you have defaulted in all, Galatians 3:10
If you say you I don't fornicate, what of the time you came 5mins late to work? Don't you know that is a sin too? What about the time you got angry and shouted at someone?
So righteousness that is by the law will only minister death because it is frosted with sin conscuousness and the wages of sin is death.
What this means is that anytime you stand to pray or ask something from God satan will remind you of the times you came late to work, you shouted at someone, you didnt lie but didnt say the truth as well and many other things.
When you remeber that, what you will say is Lord I am sorry for coming to you in the first place I don't qualify to receive anything from a Holy God like you.
I lied yesterday, I came late to work.day before yesterday, last week Sunday I got late to church and I was not present at the workers meeting on Saturday and you walk out of His presence.
Satan has succeeded in bringing to you condemnation and your heart does not assure you before God that you can receive anything from Him, 1John 3:19&20.
However with the revelation that you are receiving now. You can tell the devil I do not come to God based on my personal righteousness but on the righteousness of Jesus. Jesus has fulfilled the law on.my behalf and has given me His righteousness to.stand by before God and the powers of darkness.
Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law and blessed is the man whose transgressions are forgiven whose sins the Lord covered.
The devil will take his leave immediately because he knows you know on what righteousness you are standing on. You are a man of understanding. You are skilled in the word of righteousness, Hebrews 5:13.
In the package of salvation God made allowance for the likelihood of your sinning as you walk with Him.
That is why He said if we say we have no sin we lie and there is no truth in us but if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to cleanse us from our sins and to forgive us of all unrighteousness, 1John 1:8-10.
Somewhere else the Bible says if any man sin we have an advocate with the father, Jesus Christ the righteous, 1John 2:1.
When you know this, if and when you sin instead of running away from God you will run to Him.
So once you confess your sin, immediately the blood of Jesus cleanses and wipes it off. It is as if you never sinned.
If we don't know this we will never be able to function in the fullness of who we are as believers because condemnation and guilt will not allow us.
Someone ask you to give him something and you say no and the next thing is he says but you say you are a christian and the weight of guilt came upon you immediately.
It will no longer happen again, because now you know what makes you righteous is not your actions but what Christ has done for you.
Some don't understand this, and they do everything they know to do to please people so they can believe they are christians sometimes even to make them self righteous and they stand before God based on those things.
The bible says in Romans 10:3, For they being ignorant of God's righteousness and go about to establish their own rightousness have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
CHRIST is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that beleiveth, we don't go ahead to establish another righteousness outside of Christ and call it our own righteousness.
What does it mean? It means if you want to earn your own righteousness you must fulfil the entire law and it still won't suffix because all our righteousness are as filthy rags before God, Isaiah 64:6.
Once you don't fulfil just one out of all the law you are diaqualified in all, Romams 10:5, Leviticus 18:5.
This is the reason why many people have not been obtaining result, they stand on their own righteousness and instead of life what they received is death because they couldn't keep all the law.
Just one law broken will render all the other laws that have been kept null and void and the result is death.
But when you stand to minister standing on the righteousness that came by faith nothing can stop you, no sin no death nothing at all because no sin consciousness is involved, only righteousness consciousness.
That is, the ability and integrity of the one who has given you the gift of righteousness.
When this become a settled reality in our heart we will always minister from the standpoint of life and not death because we are no longer sin conscious but righteousness conscious.
This is why Apostle Paul said for a righteous man rarely is anyone willing to lay down his life but for a good man, a few may be willing to lay down their lives, Romans 5:7.
Righteousness is not about what you do or don't do, it is a Gift that is given to you by another.

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.
Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!
