THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS 

PART 4

Romans 10:3-4


But while I am growing into the image of Christ trusting the Holy Spirit to bring me into conformity with Christ, I am covered by the rightousness of Jesus to be protected from sins and its consequences that is still in my nature. 



This is what apostle Paul ment when he said can we continue in sin and say grace should abound, he said God forbid, Romans 6:15. 


Once you understand this, you will understand why Apostle Paul said there is now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit.


Why? For the law of spirit of life has set them free from the law if sin and death. 


What does this mean? When you are living by the law trying to work up your own righteousness. 


That is, wanting to earn a right standung with God by working for it, you are operating under the law of sin and death and you will always come under condemnation, Romans 10:3-4


This is because no one can fulfill the whole law without breaking any, Galatians 3:7,9-14 


Only God can do that and that is why he gave you the Holy Spirit to fulfil the law through you. 


How does the Holy Spirit fulfil the law in you? By writing it upon your heart, Hebrews 10:16. He instructs you as to what is right and what pleases God and this does not mean what pleases God will always please men. 


I remember the Lord told me something sometimes ago that if you will be my treasurer it does not mean you will give money to everyone that you see is in need.


You will only give to those I ask you to give to and withhold from those I ask you to withhold from then you can be my treasurer, John 5:30.


To an average man, if he sees you withholding from someone he says you are not a christian because what being a christian means to him is giving to everybody you see is in need.


You only give as He instructs or else you will be an unfaithful servant and the bag will be taken from you and given to another. 


Pleasing God is not the same as pleasing men. If in doubt ask King Saul, 1Samuel 13:11-14, 1Samuel 15:24


But while you are growing and learning how to coperate with the Holy spirit to live through you, you are protected from the law of sin and death by the righteousness of Jesus, 1John 2:1.


Anytime you stand on this rightousness that is a gift you are operating under the law of spirit of life so the law of sin and death cannot catch up with you and you cannot come under condemnation.


So, despite that you are not perfect, you sometimes sin even though not intentionally, the righteousness of Jesus still shields you from the law of sin and death catching up with you.


This is why the Bible says if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus the righteous, 1John 2:1. Provision has been made in the plan of salvation to accommodate our imperfections while we grow. 


When you understand this as imperfect as you are you will cast out demons, heal the sick and raise the dead because they are all done by the righteousness of Jesus not because you are perfect. 


So with this revelation you can now understand why God said there is now no condemnation  for them who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. 


For the law of Spirit of life that comes from the righteousness of Jesus has set us free from the law if sin and death that comes from keeping the law, Romans 8:1&2 (paraphrase mine)


Anything that has its source in the flesh is under condemnation, it cannot please God, this is why the Bible says anything  that is not of faith is sin, Romans 14:23.


It has to come by believing, by the promise, by faith, by the Spirit, Romans 9:6-9, Galatians 4:21-31. 


These two state can be easily detected in the realm of the spirit and it is revealed here on earth by the kind of result each brings, one brings life and liberty and the other death and bondage, Galatians 4:25&26. 


If you switch from living by faith to living by law trying to work for your own righteousness, the law of sin and death will catch up with you. The result is bondage to the elements of the law, do not touch do not eat, Colossians 2:20-23.


Then shall Christ profit you nothing, because you have fallen from grace to works. Grace is superior to law and faith superior to works, Galatians 5:1-4


If it is by the Spirit it must have its source from the Spirit backed by the promise, which is the  Word of God  and executed by faith, Galatians 3:14.  


If it is not by faith, it is sin and so the result will still be death even though it originated by the Spirit and backed by the Word, example is Rebecca, Genesis 25:22&23, Genesis 27:5-17.


You don't work to bring the promise to pass you live by faith to enter into it. If the promise came by faith it's fulfilment also must be by faith, Galatians 4:22-29.


When you understand righteousness, nobody can condemn you because it is Christ that justifieth. 


I know it looks too good to be true but it is true . 


This is what Apostle Paul was saying when he said if Christ be for us who can be against us, who shall lay anything to the charge of Gods elect, it is Christ that justifieth who is also seated at the right hand of God who also maketh intercession for us, Romans 8:33-34.


PRAYER : FATHER , BRING ME INTO PERFECT UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT RIGHTEOUSNESS THAT IS BY FAITH MEANS

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

SPIRITUALLY AMBITIOUS OR A GOD SEEKER? PSALM 24:6 Just as one can be ambitious physically, one can also be ambitious spiritually too.  Sometime ago, I listened to a preacher and he mentioned the number of hours he spent praying and I was challenged.  Right in that meeting I made up my mind to jack up my prayer life and I set it as a goal. Immediately after I left the place I began to work at my new goal and was I able to meet up my new goal?
