BE NOT IGNORANT OF HIS DEVICES

2Corinthians 2:11, Romans 6:9-14

Satan does not have power over your will if you are bornagain, Romans 6:9-14. If you don't yield your will to his proposition you can never be his slave.

So what he does is use captivating and seductive words and thoughts to force our thought to stay focused long enough on his proposition till we begin to yield our will by ourselves.

This is what he did for Eve. He used words and the power of thoughts and imagination to force her attention to stay long enough on that fruit till she considered what he was saying and eventually plucked the fruit and ate of it, Genesis 3:1-6

Eve kept on listening to Satan's proposition about what God said they should not do until she began to see the good in it.

If you look long enough and meditate/reason long enough, you will begin to see the good in something that is outrightly bad.

If satan can captivate your attention long enough, he knows it is only a matter of time, you will yield your will.

In every single one of Satan's proposition to men it will always present these things:

Good for food, meaning it will promise to satisfy your hunger for anything it could be food, a child, Money, sex, position anything at all that presents in the form of hunger.

The devil will make you see that if you accept his proposition it will immediately satisfy your hunger. All he needs to do is to make you desperate and hungry enough, Hebrews 12:16-17.

So what satan does to force people to yield their will to accept his proposition is to intensify their hunger, with that he will get their attention to listen to whatever he wants to say.

He didn't come to Jesus until He was in the wilderness, fasting and very hungry, Matthew 4:1-3.

Then secondly, he will engage their attention long enough till they begin to see the good in something obviously bad or in outright disobedience, such that a little disobedience will not look so bad after all.

This is why having faith is not enough, we must hold unto a good conscience so that we do not make a shipwreck of our faith, 1Timothy 1:19.

If we don't hold unto good conscience we will use faith to claim a money that someone lost and that we found and suppose to return and see it as God's divine provision.

Another thing about Satan's proposition is that it will be pleasant to your eyes. Your flesh will like it. It will appeal to your five senses, it won't demand any action of faith (trusting or depending or waiting on God ) on your part, Romans 1:17.

You will see it and then believe it. It comes with seeing is believing not believing is seeing, Mark 11:24.

Anything that God is in it, will require faith to accomplish it. If there is no act of faith involved, God is not in it. It may be human carnality or satan directly.

So, you will see it that it is pleasant to the eyes. If it is a house it will be so beautiful you will look like a fool to resist it. If is a wife she will look so perfect that you won't see anything wrong in her.

It is pleasing to the eyes.

Another points that Satan's proposition will bring is that it will be desirable for wisdom.

It will project a kind of wisdom not a godly kind of wisdom but a worldly or demonic one, James 3:14-16

If you desire a position that you don't qualify for or is not yet your turn to assume, satan will propose a wisdom to you by which you can still get it all the same, by hook or crook.

He can tell you to set the person presently occupying that position up or to outrightly poison him or assassinate him to get rid of him.

Worldly or satanic wisdom will never advocate the fruits of the spirit like perseverence, longsuffering and patience. It tells you you can have it here and now.

It perpetually steals your joy and peace in order to force you to yield your will to His proposition.

Whenever satan brings His proposition to you, it will make you wise in your own eyes and wise in your own ways not in the ways of God, Proverbs 1:31-33.

Another thing that satan proposition will do for you is that it will make you selfish and self centred, John 12:25.

It will make you to see only your own need until other people's needs pale into insignificance, Phillipians 2:3.

And when you look at your need, he will enlarge it and make it look like it is the worst situation on earth, there is nobody on earth whose situation is as worse as your own or who is as needy as you are, 1Corinthians 10:13, 1Peter 5:9.

All you will keep seeing like Adam and Eve is your own nakedness and you will wonder at how truly naked you are, which is not true.

When satan proposes his wisdom it will make you look foolish and it is like what he is proposing is the best offer or option in the world.

If you have been experiencing these things or about to it is called the whiles of the devil and God doesn't what you to be ignorant of them.

This is why this message is coming to you today. To expose them and give explanation to what you have been going through but can't explain.

Now that you know, there is one thing required of you. With the light now coming to you from this message, resist the devil and his devices by being steadfast in faith.

Cast down imagination and every high thing exalting itself against the knowledge of Christ in you.

Overcome them with it is written. Bring relevant scriptures and quench every fiery dart of the enemy, Matthew 4:4,7&10.

Let the word of the testimony of Jesus never depart out of your lips. Recount the goodness of God in your life and that of others until the devil begin to retreat in shame and defeat, Revelations 12:11

Keep the goodness of the Lord before your eyes at all times and sing his praise, and do not look too long (consider) at Satan's proposal, Psalms 16:8, Psalm 103:1-5.

Excercise yourself unto godliness by living a selfless life (Phillipians 2:3) and don't engage satan in a long conversation like Eve did, Genesis 3:1-6.

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!
