IN OUT AND OUT IN

(PART TWO)

1JOHN 1:20&27

This morning I will be sharing with us the concluding part of my last post.

From the last post, we were able to see how God can lead us from inside the word to outside by helping us to see our experiences from the perspective of God's Word as we study the scriptures.

Direction, wisdom and guidance can come to us from inside the word of God to help us know what to do on a particular situation as we study the Word of God.

There are instances that you can have a situation on your hand that you don't know how to handle or something happened to us whether good or bad and the Holy Spirit show us from the Word of God the perspective we should have. In this instance you are not studying the Word.

I will give us two examples to explain what I mean. God doesn't wait for us to be perfect before He starts to use us, He uses the assignments He gives us to perfect us.

There will be times when we encounter situations and our response is not what it ought to be and someone can just lash out at us and say but you call yourself a christian.

The result is that we feel disappointed in ourself, condemned and unqualified for that work God has called us to do.

At such times, if the Holy Spirit does not come to our aid, the devil can magnify those imperfections out of proportion that we just want to give up on ministry and on life and sink into despair.

At such times when we feel down and unworthy of the calling, the Word of the Lord just come to us; "Therefore seeing that we have this ministry as we have received mercy, we faint not", 2Corinthians 4:1

That word just opens up and it is as if you have never read it before. You never even know it can be interpreted that way. It came with so much power and life that your spirit is instantly lifted out of the pit of discouragement.

Now, what you have just received is life(Rhema) not letters(logos)! 2Corinthians 3:6b. It carries with it the power to lift you out of that situation. If it were to be letters it will carry no such power.

You have not yet recovered from that one when another one came, "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God who has made us able ministers of the new testament" 2Corinthians 3:5&6a.

That is another dose of life given to you!

As you are still basking in that one, another one came, "Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yeah rather that is risen again who is even at the right and of God, who also maketh intercession for us", Romans 8:33&34.

The Holy Spirit will keep bringing you scriptures applicable to that situation, it may be two or three or twenty, until you are completely lifted out of the pit of despair and the hands which hung down and the feeble knees are now made strong again to continue running the race that is set before you, Hebrews 12:12&13.

However, you are not to use  those scriptures to harden yourself against repentance but if you have done anything wrong and the fault is obviously yours, repent and move on but don't tarry there and allow the devil keep on accusing you till you sink into despair and start contemplating giving up on God, on yourself and on the assignment.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1John 1:9.

You will notice that in this situation you are not reading the Bible, you are not even doing any quiet time, you have a situation in your hands and the Holy Spirit came to your rescue by quickening scriptures into your spirit to bring you out.

What you have just experienced is how the Holy Spirit leads you from outside the scriptures back into the scripture (OUT IN).

To keep this post short I will not be able to give us the second example.

Now, we will pray and ask God that we want to experience both kinds of leading and abound there in, from inside out and from outside in.

The Holy Spirit is committed to giving us things and experiences that will make ud enjoy our walk with God, so let's feel free to ask this of the Father.

It is well with us in Jesus name.

If this post has blessed you, you will do well to please share with someone, a friend, a colleague or a group of people.

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

PEACE
