UNDERSTANDING GOD'S TIME REDEMPTION STRATEGY
PART 1
Ephesians 5:15-16
Inability to stay at one thing consistently is not a proof of progress or ambition. It is a deficiency that came as a result of the fallen nature of man.
In Yoruba it is called ARA AIBALE (Impatience)and it is often referred to as a leading disease condition.
Results that are worthwhile are not achieved overnight, they are achieved from working at one thing consistently overtime.
Sometimes being overly ambitious is more of a sign of an impatient person than of an ambitious person.
There is a thin line between impatience and ambition.
Truly ambitious people are willing to stay at one thing till it produces result and truly ambitious people are patient people.
Impatient people chicken out easily on tasks or projects but ambitious people.are great achievers because many times they are tenacious.
Even though 'Ambition' is not a scripturally acceptable character like that, it is a quality that when worked upon and rightly channeled by the Holy Spirit can be very useful in the Lord's service because of the tenacity and drive that comes with it.
To redeem the time means to make use of most of our time to serve the purposes of God or to serve a worthwhile course that has an eternal or futuristic value or generational impact.
When you spend your time to do these things you are redeeming time and when you master the art of redeeming time you are walking circumspectly as wise and not as unwise, Ephesians 5:15&16.
One of God's gift to us all is the gift of time. It is what we do with time that deter mine whether we are wise or foolish, rich or poor, has understanding or lack it.
When we have lost time in riotous living or in courses that are worthless, what God does for us is time redemption, 1Peter 4:3, Ephesians 2:3.
Therefore, time redemption is two fold.
First, for those that have lost time to begin to put their time to good use henceforth.
So for someone that has lost time you may suddenly find plenty time on your hand and you are wondering of what use is this time in my hands.
It is a time redemption strategy that God is doing for you. So you must begin to put that time to very good use now and not waste it again.
Use the time to cover up for certain things you ought to do but didn't do.
You don't yet have a job and you got born again in your late twenties, use that so much time you have in your hand now to redeem the time you lost in your youth.
Read the books, attend the seminars, go for that training, go for evangelism, get those certifications, build intimacy with the Holy Spirit, get more spiritual capacity e.t.c
Henceforth, begin to put your time to good use, no more walking as unwise.
Secondly, for those that still have time, to begin to put that time to use engaging in courses that are worthwhile and not fritter it away in riotous living.
When God give you more time, it is more life he is giving you indirectly. It now depends on you, of what use you will put that time again.
Make most of your youth and singleness to redeem the time you will no longer have when you are married and you have a job, Ecclesiastes 11:1
Make most of the time that joblessness affords you now to redeem ahead the time you may not have again when you get a job.
You can send time redemption ahead of you into yoir future. Work while it is day for the night is coming when no One can work.
Now your children are grown up and are all gone into university or on their own, you have no babiess to take care of, are you making the most of the time that stage of life affords you?
You are waiting on the Lord for the fruit of the womb, are you making the most of the time of your waiting period?
Don't let the devil steal your time anymore in unnecessary sorrow and complaining. John 10:10
Begin to put that excess time to use to prepare ahead for when you will be busy taking care of your babies.
For you, your job affords you a lot of time. It is for a particular reason God allowed that. Are you making the most of that time that you have on your hands?
Are you redeeming the time against when you will be very busy? Are you putting that time to good use or you spend it gisting and walking round town?
We will give account of how we spend our time on earth because that time is not our own, it is God's gift to us and we give Him account of how we spent it. Whether we wasted it or invested it.
It will interest you to know that your time is actually your life and that is why it is called lifetime.
Life (time) is a currency that must be invested into a worthwhile course.
(To be continued)
PRAYER: FATHER SHOW ME.POCKETS OF TIME THAT I HAVE NOW THAT I AM NOT PUTTING TO GOOD USE AND SHOW ME.WHAT TO DO TO MAKE THE MOST USE OF MY TIME IN JESUS NAME.
SALVATION PRAYER
Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:
Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.
Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!
PEACE
