CHRIST, THE WISDOM AND THE POWER OF GOD

1Corinthians 1:24




You can defeat satan by the power of God and you csn also defeat him by the wisdom of God, Christ is both the wisdom and the power of God. 


There are times that God manifest Himself to us as wisdom and at other times He manifests Himself to us as power.


The first encounter you must have in your walk with God in order to be safe is His wisdom not His power. 


Power brings pride but with humility comes wisdom, Proverbs 11:2. 


You need the balance of both the power of God and the wisdom to be effective in anything you are doing. 


In your health you must have  the balance of both the power of God and the wisdom of God. 


There are situations that require the power of God only and there are situations that require the wisdom of God only. 


And at other times there are situations that require both the power and the wisdom of God. 


The power of God healed the man at the pool of Bethsaida but the wisdom of God required to maintain that miracle is to go and sin no more, John 5:14


The power of God was required to open the eyes of blind Bathemous but the wisdom of God required to maintain that miracle is that He starts following Jesus, Mark 10:52.


The power of God delivered the mad man of Gaderernes, but the wisdom required to maintain His miracle is that He goes into the cities and tell them what God has done for him, Luke 8:38-39


The power of God made the oil to flow ceaselessly for the wife of one of the sons of the prophet but the wisdom of God is required to borrow the vessels, shut the door and go to the city and sell, 2Kings 4:1-7.


Same.way there will be times that what is required is the wisdom of God for your health, finances, marriage, business, job e.t.c. and at other times what is required is the power of God. 


After that by power Jesus healed the lame man by the pool of Bethsaida, Jesus told him to go and sin no more lest a worse thing happen to him, John 5:14


Now, that is wisdom for maintaining his miracle. 


The same thing God is saying to some of us. By my power I have healed you but stop living recklessly or eating carelessly. 


Some christians what they know is only Jesus as the wisdom of God while for some they only know Him as the power of God. This is not right, we must know Him as both, 1Corinthians 1:24.


Is not everytime God manifests His power, many many times He comes as Wisdom. 


Many don't recognize Him when He comes as Wisdom, they only do when He comes as power, but never as the day to day wisdom they are living by.


Many many times, living by His wisdom daily will make you not to require His power too often. 


Because the doors that could have been opened to give satan access to your life, by His wisdom you have shut it. 


One classical example of where God defeated satan not by power but by wisdom was when He allowed Jesus to be crucified, 1Corinthians 2:8


But by power, Jesus defeated the grave and was resurrected from death. It was by wisdom that Jesus was allowed to die but by power he was resurrected. 


By wisdom God allowed Lazarus to die from his sickness and by power He raised Him back to life. 


Anywhere God is you will see the interplay of these two things, wisdom and power. If you look at the life of Jesus it was an interplay of power and wisdom.


The last day church will defeat principalities and power through the manifold wisdom of God not just by His power alone,  Ephesians 3:10


If the wisdom of God tells you to keep quiet and you obey you will never need His power to deliver you from the consequences of your disobedience. 


There are times that by power God will save you and there are times by wisdom He will save you.


The power of God will give you break through but it will require His wisdom not to always be in need of a breakthrough. 


The power of God will force a door open for you but to keep that wisdom you will need His wisdom not necessarily power.


When you are walking by His wisdom and it seems the situation is not changing, then it is time to switch to His power. Because some things will only answer to His power, Psalm 66:3


You must be flexible enough to switch to whichever He is using per time and not insist it must be through power when He wants to move by wisdom.


There is wisdom for living but there is also power for living and you need both. Everytime it is not power and everytime it is not wisdom. 


Again, many are so used to God moving in a power that they can't recognize Him anymore when He choses to move in His wisdom. 


When God is moving in His wisdom many times it looks foolish to human reasoning, so many despise it, Proverbs 1:7.


Many by wisdom cannot recognize Him, only by His power can they recognize Him, Proverbs 8:1-5.


This is why this teaching is coming to you at this time, so that you can begin to recognize Him when He choses to come as wisdom. 


It is impossible for one not to recognize the power of God when it is at work in a place, but His wisdom is not easily recognizable like that. 


Most times it won't even look like it is wisdom when you start engaging it. It can make you look foolish in the eyes of people,1Corinthians 1:21.


I pray for you that as you are reading this message an anointing comes upon you that enables you to recognize God's  wisdom whenever it comes to you in Jesus name.

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

CHANGE FOCUS One major winning strategy is to keep your focus on what God is doing and not on what God is yet to do.  The devil is very adept at making people focus their attention either on what he is doing in their lives or on what God is not doing for them  This is the reason for sadness and depression.
