HANDLING CORRECTION, REJECTION AND BETRAYAL CORRECTLY

Hebrews 4:15

If there is one person that handled the three well and came out on the other side undefined by them, it is JESUS.

You will want to ask if Jesus went through correction. Yes,

The bible says first that in all things He was made like unto us, tempted at all points and touched by the feelings of our infirmities, Hebrews 4:15

Secondly that He learnt obedience through suffering, Hebrews 5:8.

So if there is one person you ought to look unto if you are going through or have gone through any of these three, it is Jesus, Hebrews 2:2.

He is our perfect example in all three!

If you have never suffered rejection you will never be able to handle acceptance well.

There are lessons only rejection can teach us. So, when you face rejection, don't feel bad. Learn the lessons and move on.

Every phase of life God ushers us into is to teach us something that we will need for the next phase.

You should never allow rejection define who you are or change your perspective of who you are. You are not who people says you are.

Rather, you are who God says you are. You must find a way of believing this. Bevause at some point in our lives we have all faced a measure of rejection.

It must never be allowed to break us and define us but to make us.

You must learn to always separate your person from your position and be discerning which of the two  people are flocking around. Your person or your position?

When you understand this, you will know what to protect and fight to keep.

You need the lessons learnt in the low places of life to survive in the high places of life. Make sure you are learning well.

Don't rush your seasons or rush out of a place of discomfort because it is not convenient.

There are lessons to learn there which will preserve you when you get to the high places of life.

If everybody leaves your life, make sure God is still there.

Rejection is an eyesalve it helps us see clearly, Revelations 3:18

Many of those things we hate are eyesalves that help us see clearly.

Eye salve is hurting when applied to the eyes, but right after, our sight.becomes clearer.

When God begins to apply those things we don't like to our lives, know that what He is applying is eyes salve so that we can see clearly.

Instead of casting and binding some situations, that serves as eyesalve, ask God, what are you trying to show me?

A major number of people just leave your ministry after an instruction the Lord gave you and you obeyed.

It may not always be the devil, it could just be God separating men for you and those that left are those that will cause you pain and headache in the new level God is taking you to, Judges 7:2-7.

A trusted friend betrayed you, it may not always be the work of the devil, it could be that God is revealing to you what is in the heart of that person all this while,

Not every seasons of your life will be seasons of harvest or promotion or lifting.

Some seasons will be seasons of learning for you and they are allowed by God as part of your training.

Where you will learn the lessons that will later preserve you in the future.

God knows how to blend different seasons in our lives just to see that we become all that He wants us to be and to see to it that we are well equipped to face the world that He has sent us to, Jeremiah  48:11,

Some will be seasons of trial, where God tests what He has been building in us over time so He can promote us. We must let patience run its full course at such times, James 1:2-4.

Some seasons in our lives will be seasons of correction and discipline, Hebrews 12:5-13, we must learn to endure.

Correction is better than commendation. Correction adds to you and put a grace upon your life for the very thing you are being corrected for to be able to rise above it, Psalm 141:5

Corrections make us stronger and better Commendation though encourages but it can make us weaker when it is too much and not handled properly, Proverbs 27:6

Beware of the praise of men, it is like a poison to your spirit, though soothing to your flesh.

Correction is health to our spirit but like a bile to our flesh. It is very bitter to our flesh and we fight it often times, Proverbs 27:6

It is better to go to the house of correction than to the house of commendation because the house of correction is a house of grace.

Some of the major lessons God will allow us to learn and major experiences He will pass us through is to wean us from overdependence on men and root us in dependence on Him only, Jeremiah 17:5-8

He will do everything to bring us into this place. Until them we are not safe neither is anything He places in our hands.

One fast way to get to this place is to go through rejection. It could be marital, parental, societal or group rejection.

Going through rejectuon will build strength and resilience in us.  We will come to a place that whatever we do, we are not doing because of men but because of God.

Ask the Lord to give you His own perspective in every situation of correction, betrayal and rejection you may be going through and you will find yourself smiling through it.

PRAYER: Father, I Receive grace to handle rejection, correction and betrayal well in Jesus name.

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

PEACE
