MAKING IMPACT: THINGS TO KNOW

2Corinthians 4:10-12

Consequences and effects are weightier than the action itself.

Men by reason of the fallen nature are more concerned about the immediate satisfaction and comfort that an action gives than the consequences and effect that later comes from that action.

God is more concerned about the consequences and effects of our actions than the immediate satisfaction that our action offers us.

While God's focus is on effects and consequences Satan's focus is on our immediate satisfaction,.Hebrews 12:16-17

God focus our attention and emphasizes on the consequences and effects of our actions, Ecclesiastes 7:8.

However Satan focuses our attention on the immediate satisfaction we are going to get out of our actions now, Matthew 4:4

This is why God is always speaking about the end of a thing being better than the beginning there of and he is more concerned about ends than beginnings.

The place of burial is more important than the place of birth. It is the same reason the death of Jesus is more important than his birth.

Satan focuses our attention on the beginning while God focuses our attention on the end.

Impact are measured in futuristic terms, not in the present. Nobody measures impact in time and get the accurate measure of his or her impact.

Impacts are targeted towards the future, not now, impacts can only be measured after a while and ultimately in eternity not now or on the earth accurately.

Impacts are consequences or effects of the things we are doing now or have done with our lifetime.

Impacts are always futuristic while satisfaction are always now and in the present.

If you dont understand these things that I have just explained, you won't understand why God ask you to do certain things now or forgo certain things now.

The whole thing will just look like God wants to suffer you unnecessarily.

Your past present and future are all now before God, with Him there is no past or future, everything is now.

So, God makes decision concerning our lives based on our future. That is, out of the future He has seen, comes our instructions for the present.

We can only see our past and present but not our future, except through the eyes of faith.

But, when God begins to order our steps He will begin to do so based on what is in our future.

For this reason, some steps He asks us to take now at present will look so foolish and out of place.

Fast forward to 20years later we will realize that step we took was the wisest decision we ever made.

To make impact, we must coperate with the Holy Spirit at everypoint, John 12:26.

If we live our lives the way everybody lived their lives, if we do things the way everybody else does them, we can't affect people, we can't change people and we can't make impact, John 7:6

To reap spiritual things you must sow carnal things, 1Corinthiams 15:44. To change a people or make impact, you must be very different from them.

You can't change a people that you reason the same way, talk the same way, see things the same way, react to things the same way, desire the same things that they desire, run after the same things that they run after, Matthew 6:32.

To change a people, you must be very different from them in everything.

It is this difference that God begins to work in you when he first calls you before sending you.

Until He has first worked upon you, you don't have a message that has the power to impact and change people.

What impacts and changes people is the life in the message not the letters of the message, 2Corinthians 3:6.

It is the death that God works inside you, using those dealings that produces the life that impacts and changes people in your message, 2Corinthians 4:12.

Many, because of lack of this understanding, has rejected the dealings that suppose to work death in them.

Anytime you hear the summon to come and offer sacrifices, embrace it because it is an opportunity for life to come out of you.

It will be a death summon, but the outcome is a resurrection in power and glory, I Corinthians 15:35-36.

It will cost you many many carnal things, but it is a call to a life of power and glory. This is the pathway to becoming all that God wants you to be, Ephesians 4:9-10, Phillipians 2:8-9.

All your colleagues may be travelling out and you have all it takes to too. But for you, God is saying you should step aside.

That stepping aside is a summon to come and die, it is a call to sacrifice and the resultant effect of that summon is power and glory.

You can't affect, impact and change a world that you are not different from.

Allow God to work that difference in you.

PRAYER: FATHER GIVE ME THE STAYING POWER TO ENDURE THE PROCESS TILL I BECOME ALL THAT YOU WANT TO BE IN JESUS NAME.

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!
