SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS PART 2 ROMANS 6:18-23 Now, let's examine how some of our Fathers of faith yielded their members unto God as instrument of righteousness in the scriptures and their end result as well as those that did not and the fruit that came from their lives, Isaiah 51:1&2. Job said, I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid? Job 31:1. David in Psalm 101:3 says "I will set no wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of them that turn aside, it shall not cleave to me". Daniel 1:8 says but Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the kings meat nor with the wine which he drank. The believers after the ascension of Jesus continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine, and fellowship and in breaking of bread and in prayers, Acts 2:42. Daniel prayed three times daily, Daniel 6:10. David worshiped God seven times a day, Psalm 119:164 and prayed three times a day too, Psalm 55:17. A

SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS ROMANS 6:18-23 How serious are you in your walk with God? This morning I will be sharing with us one major way to evaluate your seriousness with the Lord. The hall mark of a Christian that is serious in his walk with the Lord is that he has become a slave to righteousness. How will you know that you have become slaves to righteousness? When you have yielded your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. When you become a slave to righteousness you can't but be full of God. You are completely sold out to God and His agenda. The end result is that you begin to bring forth fruit unto holiness and the end is everlasting life, Romans 6:22. Your mouth, eyes, ears, hands, feet, legs and your mind have been surrendered to the Lord. No pastor or discipler can do this for you, it is an act of your will. Romans 6:13 says Neither yield ye your members as instrument of unrighteousness unto sin but yield yourself unto God..... That statement is a statement

However as grace was multiplied unto me I could fast for longer period of time. Same thing with prayer. I could only pray for few minutes at the onset but as grace was multiplied unto me my prayer time began to increase. Even though God has given us grace to live above sin, grace does not make us to abound in sin. Rather grace makes it possibl

SHUN SIN ROMANS 6:23 The pleasure of sin is only for a season, afterwards it leaves behind a trail of death in the life of the sinner that he or she will be battling with for the rest of His life if Jesus does not step in. Sometimes, even after Jesus has stepped in, some things are still unredeemable but can only be managed. The entire human race and the earth is still suffering from the consequences of Adam's sin till today. Romans 6:23 says, " The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". The more engrossed we are in sin the more our lives get complicated. Fornication may look sweet at the moment it is being done, but what of the complications of unwanted pregnancy, unwanted babies, abortion, damaged womb and barreness that it leaves behind. Above all that, it cuts you off from God and has griveous spiritual implications than all the physical consequences. Telling one single lie can get one so entangled that one ha
