PREPARE THE WAY OF THE LORD

(PART 2)

ISAIAH 40:3



This message is a continuation of my last post. When God brought Israel out of Egypt, it was a physical action. By this I mean they left Egypt but Egypt has not left them. 


The same way when we give our lives to Jesus, we have left the world but the world has not left us. 


If you spend 430 years in a place don't tell me your mind has not been cultured  after the tradition and practices of that environment. 


Though you have left that place but the way of thinking and practices of that place has not left you. 


This is where the journey in the wilderness becomes very necessary for every Christian that wants to enter into the promised land. 


I have seen people pray against the wilderness stage of their lives, hardly realizing that, no wilderness, no Canaan land. 


You don't have to pray against it, you only need to find what purpose the wilderness is serving and align.


When you know and align yourself you will come out sooner than you expected. The purpose of wilderness in the journey of a believer is to get Egypt (the thinking pattern of this world) out your mind and allow the mind of Christ to dominate you, Phillipians 2:5. 


The wilderness is where you will learn that man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, Deuteronomy 8:3. There, you learn that what bread does the Word of God does too.


It is where your reason for praying changes from daily routine to a matter of life and death. Prayer is forced on your life in the wilderness. It is where you will ask God for bread and He will give you His Words instead. 


It is where your knowledge of God's Word is furnished. In the wilderness, your situation does not change, it is your mindset that changes. It is where you become. 


It is where the end of your faith is the salvation of your soul(1Peter 1:9), not physical possession but mind transformation.


It is where you live on the Word of God as a man lives on oxygen, it sustains you. It is the place where when you open your mouth expecting God to fill it with bread, He fills it with Himself(His Word) and you are so full of Him, so full of the Word, Psalm 81:10. 


It is where your testimonies and experiences are formed. It is where the Word of God changes your thinking pattern. It is where you learn to trust God and also experience the faithfullness of God first hand. 


It is the place where your motives for seeking God is purified, Deuteronomy 8:2-4. The wilderness is what we call PROCESS. It is where the high way is prepared for the Lord to come, Isaiah 40:3. 


Don't be ashamed of your wilderness experience, it is what qualifies you to enter the promised land when you have learnt the lessons. 


The longer you fight the wilderness the more you lengthen your stay in it. But when you settle down and learn the lessons and allow your mindset to change, you qualify yourself for a speedy exit. 


The possibility of dying in the wilderness exist if we don't come into the understanding of what purpose that wilderness is serving in our lives and align ourselves, Hebrews 4:9-11. May this not be our portion in Jesus name.


PRAYER: Father show me where I am in my walk with you and give me the grace to cooperate with you all the way. Understanding is a real miracle, ask God to give you Spiritual understanding, Colossians 1:9.



SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

CHANGE FOCUS One major winning strategy is to keep your focus on what God is doing and not on what God is yet to do.  The devil is very adept at making people focus their attention either on what he is doing in their lives or on what God is not doing for them  This is the reason for sadness and depression.
