THE IMPLICATION OF HAVING THE REVELATION OF GOD'S MERCY

Psalm 30:5



The revelation of God's mercy will always make you run to God and not away from Him no matter how badly you have sinned or fumbled.  


When we have done all.we could and still our all and our best is not enough, we need the mercy of God, Acts 26:22


There are heights that our human frailty will not let us attain unto, most especially in spiritual matters, we need the mercy of God, 2Corinthians 3:5


When you fall remember the mercy of God that it endureth forever and that His anger is only for a moment. 


When you are not deserving of  something, yet it is what you need for life and destiny, then it is time to go to the throne of grace and ask for mercy.


When you sin in ignorance and the consequences are staring you in the face, it is time to cry for mercy. 


When you fall into sin knowingly but you have genuinely repented, you need the mercy of God to mitigate the severity of your punishment.


When you don't measure Up, you need the mercy of God to bridge the gap for you.


When covenant and curses, legal ground issues are what you are combating you still need the mercy of God.


The mercy of God is what we all need because our self efforts in the flesh will never be sufficient.


There are times we don't pray enough, fast enough, study His word enough . 


Sometimes our flesh are just too weak. Yet His mercy covers the gap for us so our lapses don't become obvious.


His mercy is big enough to accommodate sin, big enough to accommodate our lack of qualification or our being undeserving.


God knows we are prone to sin from time to time as long as we are in this human flesh, 1John 1:8.


So, when we fumble he is not caught unawares so He made a provision for His mercy ahead in the blood of His son, Jesus. 


That if we come by that blood to ask for mercy from Him, we will always find it. 


He said in His Word, that if we say we have no sin we lie and there is no truth in us but if we confess our sins He is able to forgive us and to cleanse of our unrighteousness, 1John 1:9-10.


It is in acknowledging that we have sinned and in confessing our sins lies God's ability to forgive us. 


Without genuine repentance on our part there is no forgiveness on God's apart.


I pray God will help us to see this! 


Unrepentant sinners have no access to forgiveness that is in the blood of Jesus. Even though His mercy will make a lot of room enough for unrepentant sinners to genuinely repent.


Don't allow the devil lie to you that your sins are beyond forgiveness and that you are an incorrigible sinner beyond redemption.


Once we genuinely repent, God will meet us half way the journey to completely forgive us like the father of the prodigal son did for him, Luke 15:20


One thing about God I know from scriptures and from my personal walk with Him is that He cannot turn His back whenever there is genuine repentance, Isaiah 66:2, Psalm.51:17


Run to Jesus now and not away from Him for his anger is but for a moment but His mercy endured forever and they are new every morning.


PRAYER: MENTION THOSE AREAS YOU NEED THE MERCY OF GOD AND ASKED GOD TO SHOW YOU HIS MERCY IN THOSE AREAS.


SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

CHANGE FOCUS One major winning strategy is to keep your focus on what God is doing and not on what God is yet to do.  The devil is very adept at making people focus their attention either on what he is doing in their lives or on what God is not doing for them  This is the reason for sadness and depression.
