SURVIVING COSMOS

(LOVE FOR THE TRUTH)

2THESSALONIANS 2:10-12








It is not everybody that comes around you that wants to hear the truth, some are looking for what to use to nail you. 


JESUS during His earthly walk always know this, so He doesn't go about spilling the truth to everybody. 


Sometimes He just keep quiet or say something not straightforward to further confuse them. 


The level of opposition Jesus faced from those that didnt want the truth in His day but were always around Him required a high level of godly wisdom for him to survive in the midst of cosmos.


Elisha and Micaiah at some point told people what they wanted to hear, not the truth until the people really pressed for the truth they now told them the truth. 


We see the possibility of God being a lying spirit to a people who have no love for the truth, 2THESSALONIANS 2:11


Whoever told you truth is cheap? It is not. It comes at a cost of having the love for truth. 


That you know the truth does not always mean you should say it when the people are not ready for it or does not have a love for truth. 


In your learning it is important to know when to say the truth, sometimes keeping quiet is the ideal because people have spoken the truth and it has cost them  their lives. It is not cowardice it is wisdom. 


God never intended it to be so, if only they have learnt the difference between when to keep quiet and when to say the truth. 


Not everybody is ready for truth and if you speak truth when the people are not ready it could be very  costly. 


Truth is only revealed to those that love truth. 


You can continue in a strong delusion calling lie the truth where as it was not so and God will do nothing to change your stand.


Infact, He will give you reasons to be grounded in that lie because that is what you chose to believe, Romans 1:28.


It takes love for the truth to know the truth. 


Many thinks because Jesus is the truth, He goes about saying the truth everywhere He goes. 


There were places, He remained silent no matter how much people gorged Hm to talk.


He refused because He knew the people were not ready for the truth or it is plainly not just the right time or place or atmosphere for the truth, they are only looking for a scape goat. 


He knew all men and what was in men and he didn't commit to them despite that they believed in him, John 2:24.


You will be a fool to committ to all men just because they believed in you, you must knew what is in men before you commit to them. That is how to play safe. 


JESUS played safe while He was on earth that was why he didnt die before he was ready, John 7:1-11.


Truth can be a sword in the hands of people to kill you when they are not ready to receive it, Acts 7:54-59


There are times that it is wisdom to say the truth and there are times that it is wisdom to keep quiet.


It was truth that beheaded John the baptist because He spoke a truth to a people that has no love for truth when he should have kept quiet, Mark 6:18.



He has no business dying that way at all but speaking the truth at a wrong time when he should have just continued looking on was what killed him. 


There are some truths that you know but it is just none of your business to say it.


No wonder the Apostles requested for the people to pray for God to deliver them from evil men for not all men have faith, 2Thessalonians2 3:2.


That you know the truth does not mean you should always say it, silence sometimes is the best answer for a people that have no love for the truth. 


Truth plus right timing equals wisdom and life, but truth plus a wrong timing equals foolishness and death and sometimes God allows both but we must be discerning to know what he wants to do at everytime. 


This was why despite that they looked for Him to kill him they could not find him until he was ready to die, they couldn't use anything to catch him, John 7:34.


When He was being led to slaughter like a lamb he opened not his mouth yet He knew the truth all.along He just didn't say anything.

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

SPIRITUALLY AMBITIOUS OR A GOD SEEKER? PSALM 24:6 Just as one can be ambitious physically, one can also be ambitious spiritually too.  Sometime ago, I listened to a preacher and he mentioned the number of hours he spent praying and I was challenged.  Right in that meeting I made up my mind to jack up my prayer life and I set it as a goal.
