PART 2

(WALKING IN OBEDIENCE)

Matthew 10:16



Surviving Cosmos requires a lot of wisdom. The call is to be like Jesus in all things. 


Many times when we study the life of Jesus, we only study Him unilaterally that is, just one aspect of His life. 


What about studying the wisdom with which he lived in Cosmos? 


It was that wisdom that kept Him as a sheep among the wolves and it preserved him from dying before His time such that He was able to finish His assignment, John 


One of the major prayer points of a believer is for God to lead us not into temptation which is one of the ways God preserve us, Matthew 6:13


Not necessarily because we are so strong in ourselves but God many many times allows us not to be led into things that will tempt our faith above measure. 


Another one is to deliver us from evil and this talks of God 's ability to save us when entangled in the evil that is present in Cosmos, Matthew 6:13


Why will God restrict His disciples from going into the Gentile nation but only to the lost sheep of Israel, not lost goat of Israel? Matthew 10:6


Because  their hearts are not yet prepared for truth in God's timing and in the place of prayer, more so Jesus had to die first to bring them in, John 7:39


Why will the Holy Spirit restrain Paul and his people from going into Asia despite that He has said we should go into all the world? Acts 16:6


Because Asia is not ready to receive the truth of the Gospel. The love for truth has not yet been planted in their heart. 


Have you ever spoken to a leader, spouse or a people that the love for truth has not yet been planted in them? 


The resistance is vehement! 


Not all men has faith, that is not all men has love for the truth, 2 Thessalonians2 3:2


A people must be prepared for truth before they will receive the truth and sometimes what God uses to prepare people's heart to receive the truth apart from payer is intense darkness/suffering. 


Having a love for truth does not come easily, it is planted in people's heart. Until then men are not ready to receive the truth of the gospel. 


Look at the way kings react when prophets and priests tell them the truth in the old testament. Sometimes they pay with it with their dear lives. 


The Lord told me there are consequences for obeying Him and that sometimes could be heavy persecution from the world. That it is not everything one does that men will applaud or understand. 


Christianity is not always about being nice like many have painted it, it is all about followership and obedience. 


There are some kind acts that if you do, will land you straight into trouble; so don't let people define Christianity for you using the parameter of niceness or kindness. 


Define your Christianity around followership and obedience and you will be safe, define it around niceness to people alone and your head may go for it. 


What this means is that when you chose the path of obedience as against niceness expect heavy persecution to come from men. 


As a Christian you should not run away from.persecution, men will tongue lash you for what you did that they have no understanding of. 


There was a man that God wanted to kill and He caused him to raise a fight against Ahab and he delivered the man into the hands of Ahab but Ahab suddenly became nice towards him.and spared him!1Kings 20:42


The very same thing Saul did to king Agag and he lost his throne. Instead of chosing obedience, he chose niceness and lost his throne, 1Samuel 15:7-11


Same thing with King Ahab God had to tell him that he will exchange his life for the life of the king he refused to kill. 


What I am saying is this, it is not every act of kindness or mercy that God approves of, sometimes they are just borne out of pure human emotion and they land us into trouble. 


Such things soothe our flesh but carry no reward or saving power whatsoever rather they land us into trouble somewhere, Colossians 2:23


It is not all suffering that christians or men go through that God approves of, some came out of pure lack of sensitivity, lack of followership and disobedience to God and His Holy Spirit. 


In a film titled, "The forgotten ones ", it was lack of sensitivity and being naive and depending only on the dove's harmless nature that got the man and his entire family into untold suffering for several days that God never intended for them. 


Until they got to an older, more experienced mentor that the man tutored them.on what the Cosmos look like and how to handle it with not just the harmlessness of the dove but also with serpent like wisdom, Matthew 10:16


It may come with heavy persecution from those that lacked understanding but it is a trap that satan set that God just closed by what looked like an act of inhumanness. 


It is so important that you learn this and rely heavily on the Holy Spirit because the devil will exploit everything he can exploit to get at a child of God, and that including our kind heartedness.


It takes only our dependence on the Holy Spirit, to not fall into his trap. It is not everyone you should give to, it is not everyone you should be nice to, it is not everyone that invites you, that you should go. 


Not everybody that smiles at you mean well for you, so don't be deceived by a smile because the heart of men is desperately wicked, who can know it? Proverbs 27:6, Jeremiah 17:9


There are real traps of the enemy and there are also real.deliverances from God. Let your kindness be a derivative of your obedience, not the other way round. 


Be obedient first before you are kind, not kind first before you are obedient. That way, you will save yourself from many sorrows.


Your deliverance may not always come from people directly, but it will always come from God, if you are His child that is living in obedience.


Let your good works always be a derivative of your obedience.


PRAYER: FATHER GIVE ME THE WISDOM THAT I NEED TO SURVIVE COSMOS.


SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

SPIRITUALLY AMBITIOUS OR A GOD SEEKER? PSALM 24:6 Just as one can be ambitious physically, one can also be ambitious spiritually too.  Sometime ago, I listened to a preacher and he mentioned the number of hours he spent praying and I was challenged.  Right in that meeting I made up my mind to jack up my prayer life and I set it as a goal.
