ABUSE OF FAITH

PART 1

Hebrews 11:1&6



You are only expected to bring your faith to the table when God has spoken concerning a thing either in His Word or directly to you. 


You can't apply faith for something that you desire but God doesn't want to give you. 


It is only responsibility and maturity to continue making your plans or continue with your plans within the reach or boundaries of your intellect/senses, financial capability, available resources or human or logical reasoning until God speaks. 


Let me give an example. I will love my children to go to a private university but what I have financial capability for without going bankrupt is a public university. 


It is only responsibility, Wisdom and logical reasoning to make my plans with what I have and not what I don't have. 


It is a different case entirely when I can't also afford the public university, I need divine intervention and I need to go to God now to find out how He plans to sort me out. 


You still find people wanting to use faith for things that God has made it possible for them to have or afford. 


If God says He wants your child to attend a particular school and you don't have the means you only have the means for a general one. Now, you need your faith to be able to trust God for that. 


Not understanding this has made many to suffer untold hardship and suffering that God never intended for them to go through.


But because they abused their faith by believing God for some thing He has not promised them either in His Word or directly, they got into serious trouble. 


When God speaks, then it is time to apply faith, not when He has not said anything at all concerning the matter. 


If God is not saying anything specifically concerning the situation, then plan within the boundaries of your financial means or logical reasoning. It is called being responsible.


God is not anti-reasoning or anti-logical like many suppose. He only wants our reasoning set aside when He has spoken so that we can walk with him by faith. 


Once He speaks then it is time for us to set our reasoning aside and move with Him by faith not when He is not saying anything. 


There are times that God tells us I have already made provision to take care of your needs by giving you a source of income. 


Now that you have a source of income you don't need to keep your salary and use faith to believe for someone to give you rice and yam. That may not necessarily happen.


For somebody that doesn't have a job He can use his faith to believe for those. Infact, he can live on that consistently till he gets a job. 


Immediately Israel entered the promised land and ate of the produce the land, the next day the manna they had lived on for years in the wilderness ceased, Joshua 5:12


But as for you because you have a job God expects that you take from your income and buy whatever you need and also be the answer to prayer of someone that doesn't have. 


There are certain demands that God can make on you that will press heavily on your income and you have to look to God for your upkeep despite that you have a good job. 


However, if He is not making such demands on you, live within your means. 


If you are working and earning well and you are still expecting that someone should give you a car it may not necessarily happen. 


Why? Because you have the means to get one. Faith is not a means of sponsoring irresponsibility. 


It is a means by which God provides for men to tap into the supernatural to enjoy His provision when they are confronted with limitation in the physical world.

SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

GAINING MASTERY OVER CHANGES IN TIMES AND SEASONS Genesis 8:22 Spiritual seasons comes to an end as well as Natural seasons. One thing you must learn early in your walk with God is flexibility.
