OUR SCARS, A TESTAMENT OF OUR VICTORIES

PART 2

2Corinthians 1:3-4

There were battles that people fought alone in the Bible, what is important is that God was with them.

David fought Goliath alone, Paul was alone during his defence, Samson fought the Philistines single handedly everytime. 2Timothy 5:16

Never was there a time in scripture recorded that he led an army against the Philistines. He fought alone no matter how many they were.

Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite fought a troop of Philistines and everyone with him fled from the philistines, 2Samuel 23:11

But he stood his ground and defended the lentils field and slew the Philistines and the Lord wrought a great victory, 2Samuel 23:12

When you prayed and said Lord anoint my everything, both your life and death experiences were anointed to bring salvation to others not only your life experiences.

JESUS is both the Lord of the dead and the living, Romans 14:9

There will be times that it is our death experiences that is bringing life unto others, at other times it is our life experiences that is giving life unto others, Phillipians 1:21

It is not only those that are successful that  should speak, those who have failed are also qualified to speak. Their scar is what qualified them.

JESUS intentionally brought the unqualified into discplship and ministry like he brought Mary Magdalene and Matthew, the corrupt tax collectors. Their experience in the world would be useful.

“As when juice is still found in a cluster of grapes and people say, 'Don't destroy it, there is still a blessing in it,' Isaiah 65:8.

Sometimes some of our bad experiences has some good in it that can help someone greatly.

Out of the strong can come something sweet and out of the eater can come something to eat. Honey can still be gotten from carcasses, Judges 14:14.

Sometimes what God wants to use out of our story is not the victory that happened in the end but the display of strength and tenacity during the battle.

Sometimes the world may despise your scar, but it is a mighty tool a battle axe in the hands of the Lord, Jeremiah 51:20.

It is not only life that speaks, death also has a voice.

Abel though dead yet speaking, a death experience too can speak life when God gives it a voice. Light do shine out of darkness.

The story of Abel is a quite a touching one but even in death He is still speaking, Hebrews 11:4. The dead also has a voice not only those that are alive.

Stop being ashamed of your death experiences, they carry the power to give life to others, 2Corinthians 1:6-10

Sometimes for God to bring out something new and different from us, He has to put us to deep sleep otherwise we will not be still enough to allow for the new thing to come out of us.

There are things that He wants to show us but we are too energetic, too zealous and agile to see them. So, He put us to sleep.and then show us.

To get Paul to write the letters to the churches in Asia, God has to stop him from travelling about and to get him to sit still in a place.

They called him a Roman prisoner but Paul by spiritual insight called himself the Lord's prisoner.

God gave Paul the letters to the churches, but it was John He gave the revelations of the things after happening in the same churches long after Paul was gone.

The same Lord being rich unto all, not only to certain of His ministers and not the rest.

Our lack of peace comes out of not being satisfied with what God has given us and desiring other people's gifts.

Sometimes it takes going through some sort of hibernation to be able to see the other sides of life that we need to tend and be taking seriously.

May the Lord give us understanding.

PRAYER: FATHER, CAUSE LIGHT TO SHINE OUT OF DARKNESS FOR ME AND ANOINT MY SCARS TO YOUR GLORY IN JESUS NAME.

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

PEACE
