NEWNESS OR FRESHNESS, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING IN YOUR WALK WITH GOD OR YOUR WORK FOR HIM; THIS MESSAGE IS FOR YOU IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING IN YOUR BUSINESS, MARRIAGE OR OTHER ENDEAVOURS, THIS MESSAGE IS ALSO FOR YOU!!!

Even though I will be using the template of walking with and working for God, the principle still applies to other aspects of life as well.

What this means is that you can apply what you will be learning here today to other areas of your life and get the same result.

Whatever you are doing that these two things are not happening to it, will weary you over time. Whether it is your walk with God, ministry, marriage, business, or job.

While this teaching, I will be showing us what makes what we are doing to become boring and stale.

I will also be showing us by the help of the Holy Spirit what to do to maintain freshness in all we do, even if we have to do it forever.

I will also be showing us the difference between freshness and newness and if we ever have to choose which one we should go for.

Anything can become stale with time and with use, business, spouse, marriage, ministry, a job, a house, a neighbourhood, or city, even our walk with God and our work for Him.

Some people are usually jumping from one new thing to another because they just grow tired of what they have been doing for some time or the person they have been living with over the years. It doesn't have to be so and this is why......

To have a sustainable walk with God and work for God, you must constantly be experiencing two things; Newness and Freshness.

The same goes for your business, marriage and other things. Anything that will last must be constantly experiencing these two things.

Your walk with God and your work for Him must be new to you every day and always come to your fresh.

When we say we are tired or discouraged, it simply means these two things are absent.

Because we are human beings made of flesh and blood we are subject to becoming weary and tired from time to time, Isaiah 40:30, Psalm 103:4.

Freshness is what makes your walk with God and your work for Him not to become a boring daily routine.

Newness is what keeps you excited at all times. It ensures that the novelty is still there.

You have read the bible many times, yet you still want to read it one more Time and again and again, why? Newness and freshness!

It is the same Bible passage, but each time you read it, you don't necessarily see something new. It is the same revelation that comes to you, but it's impact on you is always fresh.

Furthermore, it is always as if God is bringing the revelation to you again afresh. Moreover, it is always served hot and fresh every time, no staleness.

In Freshness, it is the same revelation, but fresh impact every time.

The Israelites in the bible were eating manna every day for 40 years but to keep it from being stale (boring), they had to gather it every day.

Now that is freshness! It is not new food, but every time they gather that same old food it is always fresh, Exodus 16. So, they could eat it on and on for forty years.

Newness is like marrying a new wife or starting a new job or living in a new house or starting a new business.

In newness, it is a new scripture and a new revelation or the same scripture but a new revelation entirely.

These two things are not what constitute life entirely, but they are a vital component of life.

New things excite us, but it is fresh things that blesses and sustains us. New things will lose their novelty whether we like it or not.

This is why we have a refrigerator to keep our soup fresh and make it look as if we just cooked it every time.

God promised us New things (Isaiah 43:19) but much more than giving us new things, He has provided a system to keep fresh the old things that He has given us, Genesis 1:28.

That way, He didn't have to go through the laborious work of creating new things over and over again.

God created one man, Adam, and He didn't have to create another one again. It is one man, no new man yet there is a system He put in place to see to it that the humanoid specie He had created didn't go into extinction.

Every time a baby is born, it is as if God created a new man again, but we all know this is not so.

It is a system of sustainability that He put in place to make it look like He created a new man each time a new baby is born.

There is something you can do to an old wine skin that will make it become like new again. It is treated it with oil by immersing it for some days until it regains its flexibility and can be stretched again.

It is freshness that blesses us, not newness. New things excites us but not necessarily bless us. Like all new things, the novelty always wear out with time.

Something can be new and not necessarily bless you.

You can marry a new wife and your life begin to go down from that point on. You can start a new job or business and after two weeks you are tired of it.

New things excite, but it doesn't mean it will bless you.

You can hear a new thing, yet it doesn't bless you. But when something comes with freshness it can't, but bless you.

Freshness always impact!

COMING SOON!

Freshness is superior to newness. So, instead of hunting for something new all the time, think of how to make what you already have become fresh again. Ask God to show you what to do to make your marriage fresh again, to make your job fresh again, to make your business fresh again.

COMING SOON!

Now that we know that freshness is superior to newness,

In my next post, I will be showing us the things that kills freshness and what to do to bring back freshness into our, walk with God, work for God, ministries, business, marriage e.t.c

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus, I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me, Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations, you are now born again!
