LABOUR OF FAITH.

HEBREWS 4:11

You can't build your faith on another man's labour of faith. You have to labour in the Word by yourself to build your  faith.

When you hear the word of faith on any area of your life, it doesnt end there, it is to the end that it can stir you up to go and search the scripture for yourself and build your faith.

Make room for the Holy Spirit to breath upon what you heard. When you finish listening to a message or reading a book. Bring out the cogent points from it and the action plan for you.

The bible says the word they heard did not profit them because they didn't mix faith with it, Hebrews 4:2. They didnt meditate on what they heard for it to take root in them.

Your responsibility is to mix faith with what you hear by getting into the labour of the Word to build your faith.

If you want a solid lasting faith it will be built on your own labour, not another man's labour.

Another man's labour of faith is to give you the necessary  push you need to start building your own faith.

Infact, you can get a miracle on another mans labour of faith but that doesnt mean you are a man of faith.

You have to labour in the Word yourself to make your own faith produce a miracle for you and for others.

The Berean christians after they heard paul preach went back to check for themselves if the things he said were true or not, Acts 17:11.

After the first hearing they went for the second hearing. With each hearing, their faith became more crystalized.

There is always a huge difference between christians that hear only in church and those that go back to their notes when they get home and search out the scriptures for themselves.

Their faith levels has a wide gap.

The bible says many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of that woman which testified, he told me all I did.

And many more believed because of His own word; and said unto the woman, Now we believed, not because of thy saying. For we have heard him ourselves and know that this is indeed the Christ, the saviourvof the world, John 4: 39-43.

There is a huge difference between the faith of those that believed Jesus because of the testimonies of others and those that believe because they hear Jesus testify of Himself, John 5:33-38.

It is good to start from hearing the testimonies of others about Him, but you must not camp there.

Desire to hear Him for yourself, and accept words directly from His mouth, Job 22:22. It makes your conviction stronger.

It is one thing to study, it is another thing to study to be approved by God.

You can make what you read become your own personal experience by searching out the scriptures for yourself as you study the material or hear the message.

When you do, you open your spirit to receive directly from the Holy Spirit.

That way what you read or heard is no longer another man's message but your own.

Your faith is being built on your personal labour of faith stirred up by reading another man's experience with God.

That is how to mix faith with what you hear and make it your own.

There are some things the Holy Spirit will never teach you directly, but only as you study the materials of other people or listen to their messages.

All the scriptures you read as you study that material will open up, the Holy Spirit will begin to give you personal insight such that at the end of that study you can say like the Samaritans:

Now I believe, not because of thy own sayings, for I have heard him myself and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

Infact, if you try to read the bible outside of that book you may not get any revelation.

But once you go back and start reading the scriptures from that book or message, revelation begins to come like a flood to you.

Same thing with prayer, if you try to pray separate from that book or message you will see you are struggling but once you go back to studying that book or message again hunger is birthed in you.

Prayer points begin to flow, now you have a heart cry and you can pray out of that book or message for 2 straight hours, even for many days (burdens and heartcry).

I dont know why God choose to do it like that, but it is very consistent with the way He works.

Choose to be a Berean christian, study to show thyself approved unto God, 2Timothy 2:15.

Become established and grounded in faith. Hearing or reading is not enough take one step further to get established in what you have read and heard through meditation and  diligent study, make it your own.

Daniel understood that the captivity of Israel was over when he gave himself to studying materials, Daniel 9:2.

It didn't come through dream or vision or prophecy but by diligent study. Let God approve you through study, 2Timothy 4:13

PEACE

PRAYER: FATHER, KILL SPIRITUAL LAZINESS IN MY LIFE.

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

PEACE
