PROTECT YOUR VISION

(PART 2)

Proverbs 29:18

The kingdom of heaven is like a seed that a sower went to sow, Matthew 13. A God given vision is like a seed too and it will go through the four different scenarios that the seed went through in the parable of the sower, the wayside, the stony ground, the thorns and the good ground.

However, that seed has the capacity to grow and become a tree that birds will come and rest under its shade, Matthew 13:31-33. A God given vision grows.

Another nature of a God given vision is that it has the ability to spread. It is like a yeast that you put in only a small portion of flour but before you know it, it has spread to the whole batch, Matthew 13:33.

Jesus brought the gospel of the kingdom, gave it to the twelve. Then it spreads to the seventy two, then the five hundred. It spread and extended beyond Jerusalem, to Judea, to Samaria and to the ends of the Earth.

A God given vision also has the capacity to grow, first inside you and then on the outside and later begin to spread to others. You received it as a seed but as you nurture it, it keeps growing and later begins to spread, Matthew 13:31-33.

Another thing about the nature of a God given vision is that at a time, you will have nothing to show for what you are doing.

You are not different from those that do not have any God given vision that they are pursuing. Often times they will seem to be making more progress than you.

A farmer that plants good seed on his farm and the one that doesn't plant anything, both lands will appear the same at the onset until rain begins to fall.

Isaiah 32:15 says," Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.

Until God sends the later and the former rain, the land will remain a wilderness regardless that seed has been sown into it, Joel 2:23-27.

But when rain comes signifying the pouring out of the Spirit, the Bible says that judgement shall dwell in the wilderness but righteousness will remain in the fruitful field...

....And the work of righteousness shall be peace and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance for ever, and my people shall dwell in peaceable habitation and in sure dwellings and in quiet resting place, Isaiah 32:16-18.

Infact when rain begins to fall something will grow on both lands, it is only at the time of harvest that we will know who has planted good seed and who has planted nothing at all.

One will have harvest, the other will have chaffs that will only be burnt. Vision always speak at the end not in the beginning, Habakkuk 2:3.

The fourth nature of the Kingdom of heaven which is also applicable to a God given vision because a God given vision comes from God and therefore carries the nature of heaven where it came from, Matthew 21:25 is that it is worth much more than anything you will have to give up for it.

Your vision will cost you everything but it will be well worth it in the end. When you find your God given vision it is like finding a treasure hid in the field that for the joy of finding it, the one that found it went to sell all he has and bought the field, Matthew 13:44.

Your God given vision is like a pearl of great price that when found it is worth selling all that you have to get just that one pearl, Matthew 13:45-46.

You know why? Whatever you have to lose to secure that vision, the vision will give it back to you and at the end of the day, you not only have earthly rewards, you also have eternal rewards(Matthew 19:27-29, 25:21) plus everlasting life, Mark 10:29-30.

A God given vision is worth waiting for. Even though it comes as a seed, never despise the days of small beginning.

It always starts with being faithful in little things, then bigger things are committed into your hands, Luke 16:10.

What is that in your hands? Faithfully clean those chairs, faithfully transcribe the messages, faithfully disciple that one convert.

Whatever your hands find doing, do it well and do it as unto the Lord not unto men, Colossians 3:23-24.

Every big church or ministry you see today with thousands of members started with just one member.

But as they faithfully serve that one member, God began to increase the number, from one to three to five to ten, later fifteen and so on and so forth.

Notice the progression. I know a nation can be born in a day but that is the spectacular and it is at God's prerogative, Isaiah 66:8.

Dont look for the spectacular, leave that to God while you embrace growth that comes in stages, the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear, Mark 4:26-29.

Be faithful with what is in your hand now, then more will be given to you.

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!
