THE DYNAMICS OF RECEIVING

PERCEPTION/DISCERNMENT/RECOGNITION

Hebrews 5:14

What are the things that makes for receiving?

1). PERCEPTION/RECOGNITION/DISCERNMENT

It takes perception, recognition and discernment to receive.

What is perception?

It is the act of perceiving or the ability to perceive; mental grasp of objects, qualities, etc. by means of the senses; awareness; comprehension.

That definition is the human perception. But when perception is quickened by the Spirit of God, it is called DISCERNMENT because you can't pick it with your physical senses and get it right without being helped by the Spirit of God.

There are three personalities that we must perceive correctly to receive from them.

A). GOD

B). MEN

C). YOURSELF

A). GOD

Hebrews 11:6 says, "But without faith it is impossible tonpleade Gid. For he that comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him"

To receive from God you must have the correct perception of Him that He has both the ability and the integrity to do what He says and to solve your problems.

How to know if you have the correct perception of God is through your faith life.

Do you live by faith or by human wisdom? Job 28:12&13, 20-23.

If you are living by your human wisdom it is because you don't have the correct perception of God and that must change if you want to experience the divine, Isaiah 31:3.

You can be blessed and prosper at a natural level and have results that are common to men amd you can be blessed at a divine level and have results that are out of this world and transcends human understanding and wisdom, 1Corinthians 2:9.

We only can get so much done when we access divine wisdom. With human strength and wisdom there is a limit to what we can accomplish, 1Samuel 2:9.

Your knowledge of God must go beyond perception to something much deeper called REVELATION, Matthew 11:27.

B). MEN

There are three categories of men and you must perceive all categories correctly.

Those that are sent into your life by God and those that the devil sent into your life to distract you.

The third is the normal day to day people who are just going about their businesses but can be tools both in the hands of God and the devil at sny time by their choices.

To be all that God wznts you to be you must perceive sll these categoried of men correctly.

But for the sake of this teaching I will limit it to those sent by God into your life or across your path. I call them the CARRIERS OF GRACES THAT YOU NEED FOR LIFE AND DESTINY

These men and women may not carry titles of men or women of God.

They may not be ministers or preachers of the gospel. They can be your friend, neighbour, colleague, subordinates, even parents or acquintances.

So, when I say CARRIERS OF GRACE, I am not only talking about men and women of God or those called into  5-fold ministry. You may also call them destiny helpers.

It is very possible to live with a grace, dwell and share the same house with a grace that is blessing others and not partake of that grace.

That you are dwelling so close to a grace does not automatically mean you will drink of it if you are not discerning and that doesn't mean those that are getting blessed from that grace are lying, they are truly getting blessed.

There is something they know and are doing that you are not doing.

It matters how you perceive a grace. The bible says if you receive a prophet in the name of a prophet you will receive a prophets reward and if you receive a righteous man in the name of a righteous man you will receive a righteous man's reward.

Receiving is not automatic, it works with perception and estimation.

If you lightly esteem a grace, it can't bless you. The bible says he that dishonours me, I will lightly esteem.

This message is not exalting human worship but rather it is aimed at teaching us the mystery of identification in order to help our discernment and ultimately our receiving.

John 5:22&23 says, "For the Father judgeth no man but hath committed all judgement unto the son.

That all men should honour the son even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

Jesus talking to Phillip said to him when he asked Him to show them the Father, Jesus answered,

"Believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father  in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself but the Father that dwelleth in me,He doeth the works", John 14:10. He went on to say, He that has seen me as seen the Father, John 14:9.

If your perception of a grace is poor, it can't bless you. Jesus could not do much miracle in his home town save that He healed just a few because they didnt have a correct perception of Him.

They were relating with him in the natural as the son of Joseph the carpenter and not by the grace that he carried as the Son of God.

Luke giving account of the geneology of Jesus said something very profound and powerful.

He said, "And Jesus Himself being about 30years of age, being (AS WAS SUPPOSED) the son of Joseph the son of Heli.

He wasn't the son of Joseph, as was supposed by men, He was God in the flesh, Luke 3:23.

John describing John the Baptist got His perception of John the baptist right. He called him a man sent from God, whose name is John, John 1;6

Many men of God avoid preaching about this because it makes them look to people as if they are exaltiing themselves.

Papa Kenneth Hagin of blessed memory said the Lord told him to tell the people what He (GOD) told him about himself(Kenneth Hagin).

What a difficult task that was!

You will think doing that is easy but it is not, because of what ignorant people will say. They will term it as pride.

It is not pride at all it is to help the people's perception so that they can receive.

This is why if you are a carrier of grace you must highly comport yourself among people to help them to be able to receive of what you carry.

You won't be able yo bless a people if your value is reduced before their eyes. They can't just receive because their perception of you is wrong or poor.

This is why sometimes after God has worked upon us, He takes us to another territory entirely where we are neither known nor our past.

The great woman of Shunem got his perception of Elisha right and she received a miracle baby!

Jesus during His earthly walk passed many people by who didn't perceive Him correctly and their problems remained.

In my next post we will be examining  the  last point under PERCEPTION which is YOURSELF.

PRAYER: You will cry to the Lord to quicken your perception so that you can perceive him correctly. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you as He truly is.

Ask the Lord to help you perceive men correctly and relate with them rightly that you may drink of that which they carry from God for you.

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

PEACE
