EXPOSITION FROM THE BOOK OF EPHESIANS

PART 3B - TO MAKE ALL MEN SEE THE RICHES OF CHRIST'S GLORY 

Ephesians 3


In chapter 3 of Ephesians , Apostle paul began to tell the Ephesian church the role God has called him to play in bringing them to the fullness of this knowledge. He called it the mystery of Christ. 


He told them it was because they should know this mystery which for ages has been hidden that God called and sent him to them. 


God hid it in the old testament, but now in the new testament he has made it known. 


What is this mystery? 


That you and I (Gentiles) should be fellow heirs and of the same body and partakers of God's promise in Christ through his gospels.


It was solely because of this that  he was made a minister that the you and I too  might be brought into the unsearchable riches of Christ, Ephesians 3:8&9. 


Apostle Paul understood his assignment very well, he said TO MAKE ALL MEN SEE what is the fellowship of the mystery.


 A mystery which God hid in Himself from the beginning of the world. God must be very very deep to have hid that in Himself from the beginning of the world. 


Do you know how many years that is? Only God knows how many things are still hidden in Him which we are yet to scratch  the surface. 


The ultimate goal of Paul's ministry to you and I, is to the end that it might be made known unto principalities and powers in heavenly places not just to men or the gentiles alone by the church (that is, those Jesus died for not angels or spirits but weak men) the manifold wisdom of God.  


If Pauls ministry ended with men, it would not have fulfilled it's full intent or purpose why God called him.  


The intent is for principalities and power to know the manifold wisdom of God as God displays it to them through weak human vessels.


What this means is that whoever is bornagain has within him the Holy Spirit who is the custodian of  the wisdom and the power of God.


Then Apostle Paul in verse 16 began to show us what the riches of Christ's glory are. They are not cars or houses or estates. 


They are not earthly things but spiritual things thathas purchasing power on earth. 


He made mention of understanding, strength in our inner man, Ephesians 3:16-18. Christ dwelling in our hearts by faith, being rooted and grounded in love, knowing the love of Christ, being established in His love, understanding what is the length and breath of and depth and height of that love and being filled with all the fullness of God. 


These are the riches of His glory, Ephesians 3:16-19


We will continue from here in my next post to examine chapter 4. 


Meanwhile, use Ephesians  3 :16-19 to pray for yourself. Pray that the riches of Christ's glory will begin to manifest in and through your life before men and before creation and before principalities and powers in Jesus name.

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

CHANGE FOCUS One major winning strategy is to keep your focus on what God is doing and not on what God is yet to do.  The devil is very adept at making people focus their attention either on what he is doing in their lives or on what God is not doing for them  This is the reason for sadness and depression.
