IN CHRIST

PART 2

Ephesians 2

Today by the help of the Holy Spirit, we will continue from where we stopped in my last post, bringing us into the understanding of our inheritance in Christ, who we are in Him.


It is in Him that you became God's temple, one, in whom God can live. 


It is in Him that you are fittly joined to other members of the body and can receive nourishment from them and grow together with them into the image of Christ. 


It is in him that you became fellow citizens with the saints and household of God. 


It is Christ that joined every true Christian together. It is by Him and through Him that God can come and live inside you, Ephesians 2:22. 


If anyone does not have His Spirit, he is none of His. 


You want access to the spirit of God, it will come only through Jesus and not without him. He is the baptiser with the Holy Ghost. 


It is in Christ that we have boldness, access and confidence, it is by His faith not by our works of righteousness.


There is a new creation that can only be found in Jesus, God created us in Him. We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus, Ephesians 2:10


What this mean is that, this new you can only be realized in Christ not in Adam. 


In Christ we are created unto good works which God has before ordaoned that we should walk in them. So this new creation can only be found in Jesus not outside of Him. 


There is a new you that God has worked upon to bring out in Christ Jesus so that you can begin to walk in the good works that God has ordained that you should walk in. 


This new you that is sold out to kingdom advancement, going for evangelism and witnessing for Christ through your life, deeds and words is the new you that God created in Christ Jesus.


All those things you are now doing called good works, God has ordained them before that you should walk in them but only in Christ Jesus are they possible. 


Everything God did in the new covenant, He did it in Christ not outside of Him. So, for you to realize and maximize your inheritance as a saint in light, it is only possible in Christ Jesus.  


It is Christ that is above pricipalities and power. The power that God wrough is in Christ. 


It is in Christ that all things are summed up. It is Christ that was made head over all things for the sake of the church. 


What this implies is this, only as you abide (remain) in Him can you realize 

all of these potentials and maximize them. 


This is why the Bible says God quickened us with Christ, even while as yet we were in our sins.  God put us in Him, so that when he died we died with Him and when He resurrected we resurrected in Him. 


It is together with Him that God did it, not outside of Him . So you can only realize your full potential in Christ. 


The book of Ephesians is the book that talked about our oneness with Christ, Ephesians 2:5&6. 


That is how God chose to show the exceeding greatness of His kindness towards us, that is THROUGH CHRIST NOT OUTSIDE OF HIM OR APART FROM HIM, Ephesians 2:7. 


What this implies is that it is as you come to Christ and begin to live in Him that you escape the corruption, darkness, chaos and confusion that is in this world. 


Outside of Him, without any argument or contemplation, you are under the influence of the prince of the power of the air and you are by nature children of wrath. No inbetweens!


So anybody that is not IN CHRIST is by default or by nature children of wrath or children of disobedience like Adam after he disobeyed God. 


Chilldren of wrath is one that is under condemnation and judgement, such a one is still under the curse that God placed upon mankind through Adam when he fell and as such satan is his lord and master of his life by default. 


Everyone born through Adam, by default are children of disobedience and are under the infuence and authority of the prince of the power of the air. That is the spirit that worketh in the children of disobedience. 


And the manifestation of this spirit is expressed in two ways:


1). They walk according to the course of this world, not of God



2). They live according to the lusts of their flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind and not of the Spirit.


The first way of life made us children of disobedience by default while the second made us children of wrath that is someone under the curse of the law by default because we are living according to the dictates of our flesh and not the Spirit, Ephesians 2:2-3. 


We escape these two things by giving our lives to Christ. We are only made alive in Christ!


PRAYER: LORD OPEN MY EYES TO SEE MY INHERITANCE IN YOU AND FURNISH ME WITH UNDERSTANDING OF MY CALLING IN YOU AND THE GREATNESS OF YOUR POWER TOWARDS ME.

SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

THE PARTICIPATORY ROLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOUR LIFE ESTHER 2:9&15 Esther did not just become attractive to king Ahasuerus and became his queen, she was taught what to do to win the heart of the king by Hegai who had charge of the harem.  Jesus handed us over to the Holy Spirit to continue His ministry on earth(John 15:26), to teach us what to do to please the Father and make us attractive to Him, John 14:26  But first of all, Esther had to please Hegai, an example of the Holy Spirit by recognizing and honoring his person, she respected his opinions and suggestions and because of this she found his favour, Esther 2:9.  It was after Esther had pleased Hegai, that he showed her what to do, how to appear before the king, what to take along to win the heart of the king.  Hegai did not delay the supply of Esther's beauty treatment and special food because she found favour in his sight. CHANGE FOCUS One major winning strategy is to keep your focus on what God is doing and not on what God is yet to do.  The devil is very adept at making people focus their attention either on what he is doing in their lives or on what God is not doing for them  This is the reason for sadness and depression.
