PART 1

James 1:2-4




There is a wisdom that only adversity can impact to you. It will never come when everything is fine and going well.


The Lord asked me if what I want is a large following or a changed people. 


Truth may not give you a large following and many admirers but it will produce a changed people. 


So chose what you want, a large following and admirers or a changed people?  


Every placement in life and destiny has a battle that must be fought and won before one can be established in it. 


A mentor's place in your life can be lost if the purpose for which you seek his or her MENTORSHIP is no longer existing. 


A MENTOR is not a mentor when you need someone to see things the way you see it. 


A MENTOR is a mentor for all times whether when your views on issues are the same or divergent. 


God has a way of using the fire of trials , situations and circumstances to reveal what is in our heart to us first and secondly what is in the heart of men that surrounds us, 2Corinthians 1;8-9.


Sometimes we are too busy looking for large gatherings (followers and mentees) when what God actually wants to do is reveal the heart of men that surrounds us to us. 


There is a blessing in every trial if you have the patience to look for it and not be overwhelmed by the sorrow of the trial, Colossians 1:9-11


God is a revealer of secrets and the intents of the heart of men, John 17:10


Just the same way men tried to use Jesus to achieve their goals or meet their needs they will try to use you as well. 


You must be prepared for it, because a servant is not better than his master, John 13:16, 5:20.


People will come around you who don't want to be mentored, what they want really is endorsement and recommendation. 


Some only want to use you as a ladder to scale through a certain phase of their lives, may be financial hardship, broken relationship e.t.c, John 6:24-26.


How you will know is that the fortitude to continue that mentorship is lost once that purpose is achieved or no longer there.


Once they are in a place of comfort, they forget you fast, Deuteronomy 8:13-17. Some want someone to offer them their shoulders to lean on and ears to talk to. 


Some need you to get that job that promotion, they only share their problems with you not their joys. 


No matter how anointed you are don't fall into that deception that people don't want to use you and the anointing you carry to achieve and serve their own purposes, Phillipians 2:21, 1Corinthians 16:12


There is a blessing in every disappointment, you only need to look a little bit closely to find it. 


PRAYER: FATHER OPEN MY EYES TO SEE BLESSINGS IN MY ADVERSITY AND HELP ME TO LEARN THE LESSONS IN IT IN JESUS NAME.

SALVATION PRAYER


Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:


 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

SPIRITUALLY AMBITIOUS OR A GOD SEEKER? PSALM 24:6 Just as one can be ambitious physically, one can also be ambitious spiritually too.  Sometime ago, I listened to a preacher and he mentioned the number of hours he spent praying and I was challenged.  Right in that meeting I made up my mind to jack up my prayer life and I set it as a goal. Immediately after I left the place I began to work at my new goal and was I able to meet up my new goal?
