John 14:26



I know you are wondering what is the meaning of in out and out in. Please, ride with me.


The knowledge you are about to receive this morning will help you understand how the Holy Spirit teaches us the Word of God. The Holy Spirit does not lead us separate from the Word of God, John 15:26&27, John 16:13-15.


 According to John 5:31-38, there are three levels of knowing Jesus. The first level is knowing Jesus through the testimony of a witness, John 5:32.


A witness is someone like a man of God or a Pastor, an evangelist, discipler, mentor or teacher. Read John 1:6-8.


John the Baptist said he was not the light but came to bear witness of that light, that all men through him might believe, John 1:7&8.  


The second level is through His works, John 5:36, John 10:38. The works Jesus did testified of Him as The One sent by God. You can know Him through His works which is a greater witness than the first. 


The third and the highest level of witness is the witness of the Father Himself and that is knowing Jesus as the Word of God, John 5:37-39. 


These three levels are a progression, however it is possible to camp around a level and not make progress to the next level. 


In John 5:39 Jesus made a very disturbing statement, He said, "Search the scriptures, for in them yet think ye have eternal life and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life". 


If you study the Words of Jesus here carefully you will realize that what He is saying is that searching the scriptures does not equal to knowing Him or finding life. 


The word of God are found and until they are found, they don't translate to life. It is when you found the Word that it translates to life for you, Proverbs 4:22.


It is when you find the Word that it becomes a joy and a rejoicing unto your soul, Jeremiah 15:16.


It is when you find where it is written concerning you that the things of you destiny become clear to you and begin to take shape, Luke 4:17.


It is the Word of God that is found that can direct your path in life and destiny and guide you, Psalm 119:105. 


The word of God that is found is the one that is life, Proverbs 4:22. 


The agency that is assigned to help us find the Word is THE HOLY SPIRIT. You can't know the Word of God apart from Him. He has to read with you and reveal to you the Word of God. 


Not only read the Bible with you, but also listen with you to messages and read with you Christian literatures and watch with you Christian films. 


His participation is highly and seriously needed in all we do and we must seek it everytime.


THE HOLY SPIRIT wrote the scriptures, He is the author, the Bible says holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost, 2Peter 1:21. 


The Holy Spirit help us find the Word in two major ways


1) IN OUT

2) OUT IN


I will take them one after the other and explain what each one means. 


IN OUT: This is when you are studying the word of God and the Holy Spirit brings to you experiences in your life or that of others that describes what you are reading. I will give us two examples. 


Let's assume you are studying Isaiah 60 and you are asking and wondering if it is possible for God to bless a man in this magnitude and the Holy Spirit shows you a man of God that He has blessed in that magnitude verse by verse, then you become persuaded of that scripture that it is true and can be true in your life too. 


Let's say of recent you realize that the Holy Spirit has been asking you to let go of some things that you enjoy doing so much and you wonder why. 


One day as you were studying Isaiah 27, you got to verse 9 and the scripture just leap at you or stand out from the rest and the Holy Spirit said that is what has been happening to you of recent. 


All those things that have become an idol in your life have to be reduced to chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. 


Those are the things competing with me in your life, things that you have exalted above Me and they have to go for Me to be able to manifest myself through you to others. 


That Bible verse is no longer a statement to you it is your experience, your reality. That way the Word of God becomes so real to you and nobody can steal it from you or take it away from you or confuse you about it. 


It is not only what you have read but also what you have handled of the Word of life, 1John 1:1. 


You are able to say like Apostle Peter said, "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye witnesses of his majesty", 2Peter 1:16. 


And just as Apostle Peter described his experience on the mount of transfiguration you too describe your experience with the Word. 


The Word of God must be experienced to become real to you. The Word of God is real whether you have experienced it or not, Job 5:27, Psalm 12:6. 


But when you experience it, it becomes real to you in a way that nothing can shake you out of your persuasion again. You are convinced and so sure of it. 


You become steadfast and unmoveable, established in the Word. These things makes studying the Word of God so sweet that you want to go back to it again and again.


In my next post by God's grace I will describe how THE HOLY SPIRIT leads us from outside back into the Word.


PRAYER: Father, take me to the next level of knowing You. I want to know you by Your Word, let your Word become my reality in Jesus name.

 Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour. 


Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

SPIRITUALLY AMBITIOUS OR A GOD SEEKER? PSALM 24:6 Just as one can be ambitious physically, one can also be ambitious spiritually too.  Sometime ago, I listened to a preacher and he mentioned the number of hours he spent praying and I was challenged.  Right in that meeting I made up my mind to jack up my prayer life and I set it as a goal.
