THE CONCEPT OF THE GRACE OF GOD

Ephesians 2:8, 1Corinthians 15:10

God does not do what you suppose to do for you, He only gives you the ability or power to do it, Deuteronomy 8:18.

It is that ability to do, that is called GRACE. So labour is not excluded in grace it is only that grace gives you the ability to labour. Grace does not replace labour but it only empowers you to do, 1Corinthians 15:10

God said to Israel, when you live in houses you didn't build and drink from a vineyard you didn't plant; don't look at yourself and say my hands have brought me thus for I am the one that giveth you power to get wealth, Deuteronomy 8:12-18.

This bible passage shed light on the concept of grace as an ability more than an act.

What it means is that because your personal labour is involved you may begin to think you brought it to pass through your labour, forgetting that the ability or power to labour (grace) was given to you by God.

So, the concept of grace is supplying the ability to do all you have to do to become all that God wants you to be and also the concept of grace means enjoying the backing of God to make successful all that one puts or set his hands to do.

God said I will bless the works of your hand and cause you to prosper in all that you set your hands to do, Deuteronomy 28:8. That is grace!

Grace makes profitable one's labours. It does not only give you the ability to do or labour it also make sure that what you do or labour in becomes successful.

If you have the ability to labour but what you labour in is not successful, grace is yet to find full expression in your life.

Grace does not only labour, it has a voice and with that voice speaks. It is at the point of speaking that grace is recognized by men as grace.

At the point of labour, though you are engraced it is not yet speaking. Grace starts from the point of having the ability to labour but it speaks at the point of success or achievement.

Let me give an example. When you begin to pray for hours, wake at night, fast study the Word, it is grace that empowers you to do all these things.

However, all these activities are means to an end even though they require grace to do them.

By the time the effect of all those activities lead you to praying for the sick and they are healed, asking God for one thing or the other and it is done, at this point the Grace is speaking but that was not the starting point.

Grace started at the point of ability to labour, but speaks at the point of success or achievement.

Many because they don't understand the concept of grace, stop short of the grace of God over their life speaking. This message is supplying you with  understanding.

Grace does not speak at the beginning, it is silent during labour yet it is still grace at work. Grace is not only grace when it is speaking for all to hear. It is also grace when it is labouring silently for no one to see and applaud.

Understanding this concept of Grace will give you the tenacity to pull through the seasons of silent labours until grace begin to speak over your life through successful  achievements.

The sons of prophet mocked Elisha during his training; yet it was grace that made him pull through the training to serve a man like Elijah, 2Kings 2:3, 5,7.

Up until the last moment it looked like Elisha was not going to receive anything for all his silent years of rigorous labours, 2Kings 2:2,4?6,9&10

Not until the sons of Prophet saw him path Jordan with Elijah's mantle did they acknowledge that the mantle of Elijah has rested on Elisha, 2Kings 2:14-18.

At that point the grace was undeniably speaking for all to see.

Yet, it required grace for Elisha to leave his 12 yokes of oxen to follow Elijah,

It required grace to serve Elijah and follow him round the cities just to receive the double portion of his anointing.

Jesus our Lord and Saviour, made us realize that it takes as much power to lay down as it takes to also pick it up, John 10:18.

The Bible made us realize that it takes Grace to say no to unrighteousness and say yes to godliness, Titus 2:11&12

So whether you are in a period where all you are doing is laying something down or labouring silently or at a season where you are picking something up and grace is speakibg expressly over your life for all to see, both require Grace and are accomplished through Grace.

May God give us the staying power to pull through the seasons of labour until Grace begin to speak expressly over our lives in Jesus name.

PEACE.

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

PEACE
