ABUSE OF FAITH

PART 3

Hebrews 11:1&6

How we do business with God also affects the kinds of things that our faith can get from God.

If God gives you a good job plus multiple streams of income, you will always have enough to cater for your needs.

Unlike someone that He also gave exactly the same things but God is making a heavy demand on his profits.

God will be giving such a person things that he won't use his money to buy. Not because he doesn't want to buy but because he has no means sufficient for buying.

If the  first person tries to be like the second person, his faith will not work and he will be frustrated.

It is important in the equation of working out our faith that we find out at what point God wants us to apply our faith.

Your own faith application may be in the area of God bringing customers to your business but not to get your daily needs met directly.

You have more than enough to meet your daily needs and to even take on projects because you are making good profit from your business.

For another that is not allowing to go into business or his business is not thriving, the point of application of his faith is to trust God to acquire similar things.

Because by reason of the kinds of demands God has made on his certificates and ambition God has an obligation to him to get him those things.

For one the point of application of his faith is to go and see doctor and believe for a successful surgery, Isaiah 38:21

For another the  point of application of his faith will be to trust God for supernatural healing, 2Chronicles 16:12.

Faith is not a blind pursuit of something. It has exactitude to it and if gotten right it produces result.

God has healed me supernaturally many times before.

And there have been times that He says go to hospital and take the drugs and I will work through them to bring about your healing.

At other times He may bear the cost of my treatment and not allow me pay for it.

There have been times I just take drugs without praying and there have been times I pray and don't take drugs.

The end result of it all is still healing to the glory of God, not to the glory of drugs or prayer.

If we have to go to the hospital, we think it is the drugs that healed us and not God.

Even doctors acknowledge that they only care but God is the one that truly cures or heal.

Until the day we use drug and we are still not healed, that we will know that God has been the one healing us all these while and not drugs.

I pray such a day will never come before we learn this lesson in Jesus name.

If we apply faith wrongly, it will not work. In this faith business you can't insist it must be your own way.

Your faith must be in what He says not in what you want Him to say.

If God wants to heal you through drugs and you insist it must be supernatural, that faith will not work.

God can choose to work in partnership with doctors to bring about your healing and He may choose to do it without involving anybody.

The prerogative is solely His. Ours is to follow.

And when we do, our faith will work and we will not abuse our faith.

PRAYER: FATHER, TEACH ME WHAT FAITH IS AND WHAT FAITH IS NOT AND HELP ME NOT TO ABUSE MY FAITH IN JESUS NAME.

SALVATION PRAYER

Anything short of you being born again and living a life of holiness and purity hurt Jesus so much. But you can make things right here and now by saying this simple prayer and mean it genuinely from your heart:

Lord Jesus I come to you today. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I cannot help myself. I repent of all my sins and I forsake them. Jesus, I invite you into my life, be my Lord, be my Saviour.

Wash me by your precious blood, forgive my sins and write my name in the book of life. From this day, I promise to follow you all the rest of my life. Help me Lord, in Jesus name, Amen. Congratulations you are now born again!

PEACE
