THE HELPER OF ISRAEL ISAIAH 41:14 One of the names that God is called in the Bible is The Helper of Israel. The Holy Spirit is called Our Helper.  God is in the business of helping men by sending help to men. Not asking God for help is pride. If you did everything by yourself you can't give God the glory.  Many of us have been trying to do a lot of things by ourselves and the weight of the whole thing is killing us because we have not learnt how to ask the Holy Spirit for His help.  It is not only the fatherless and the widows that God is their helper, He is your helper too. You know the sad thing is watching people who don't do as much as you you do, have a better result than you because they have mastered the act of asking God for help.  They asked God to help them with their finances and He showed them what to do. This is not to endorse irresponsibility and laziness. The children are doing well not necessarily because the parents were available everytime and did e...

SET GOD'S BEST AS THE STANDARD FOR YOUR LIFE. ROMANS 12:2b There are somethings in the Bible that are not God's best but He permitted it to happen because something went wrong with His original plan.  As we study the Bible we must ask the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to see those things that are His permissive will and the ones that are His perfect will. Always settle for God's best(perfect will) every time. There were somethings that happened in the Bible that were not part of the original plan but God had to allow them as a restoration strategy.  Hosea marrying an harlot was not God's best, but He permitted it because of the disobedience of His people at that time, Hosea 1:2.  It was a prophetic picture that God was showing His people of their unfaithfulness to Him, Hosea 2.  Esther marrying an heathen king was not God's best, it directly violated His law(Exodus 34:12,15 &16), but He permitted it because of the disobedience of Saul(King Agag was the great grea...

PROTECT YOUR VISION   (PART 2) Proverbs 29:18 The kingdom of heaven is like a seed that a sower went to sow, Matthew 13. A God given vision is like a seed too and it will go through the four different scenarios that the seed went through in the parable of the sower, the wayside, the stony ground, the thorns and the good ground.  However, that seed has the capacity to grow and become a tree that birds will come and rest under its shade, Matthew 13:31-33. A God given vision grows.  Another nature of a God given vision is that it has the ability to spread. It is like a yeast that you put in only a small portion of flour but before you know it, it has spread to the whole batch, Matthew 13:33.  Jesus brought the gospel of the kingdom, gave it to the twelve. Then it spreads to the seventy two, then the five hundred. It spread and extended beyond Jerusalem, to Judea, to Samaria and to the ends of the Earth.  A God given vision also has the capacity to grow, first insid...

PROTECT YOUR VISION Hosea 4:6 Protect your vision. Vision can die or get cloudy if not nurtured and protected.  One way to protect  your vision is by surrounding yourself with  things that encourage your vision and make it clearer.  You nurture your vision by feeding it with the right kind of diet and subjecting it to  the right atmospheric conditions.  Surround yourself with people that believes in your vision. Nothing kills a vision faster than negative people.  There are people and things that God has put in place to help your vision grow and become more real to you.  Our number one and ultimate mentor is the Holy Spirit. Whenever the vision wants to get dim or we want to lose focus, He helps us to get our focus back and He leads us to things and people that will make that vision become clear again to us.  You won't know everything about your vision at once, it will be revealed to you bit by bit.  When God called Abraham and asked him...

THE MYSTERY OF FORGIVENESS. (PART 2) Matthew 5:23-26 Some wound runs so deep that it takes time to heal and even when it is healed the scar left behind looks so ugly.  What even makes it worse is if you were not deserving of the way you were treated.  If you find yourself in this kind of situation, Rejoice! The first person to consider is JESUS.  The bible says you should consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds, Hebrews 12:3.  The first person to consider are not your parents or family or friends or things like your ego or reputation or name but JESUS!.  The bible says he was tempted at all point as we are yet he was without sin, Hebrews 4;15. He didnt take it to heart or get offended. He was so undeserving of the way he was teated yet he was still treated badly by the very people He healed, saved and delivered.  If we look at it we are still deserving of some of the things that happ...

THE MYSTERY OF FORGIVENESS. Matthew 5:23-26 Forgiveness is a mystery not too many people understand.  When you understand the mystery of forgiveness and what it does to you, you will never hold anybody in unforgiveness again.  The devil has used unforgiveness to tie down and keep in prison many children of God.  They are praying and serving God, yet they seem not to be getting much result. What could be wrong?  One of the many things that could be responsible is Unforgiveness.  Whereas, forgiveness opens the prison door to free its prisoner, unforgiveness send a man straight into prison, Matthew 5:25.  Just one genuine act of forgiveness can open your heavens and pour reign of blessings upon your life overnight! It is that serious! Unfortunately, the issue of forgiveness is an area many of us have not paid much attention to.  When you live in unforgiveness; you shut God out from stepping in to intervene in your matter.  Unforgiveness closes the do...
