LIFE CURRENCIES CURRENCY NUMBER 6 WISDOM Proverbs 4:7, 24:3 Wisdom is a principal life currency.  The command given to us by God is: GET WISDOM!  The Bible says WIsdom is the principal thing, so get wisdom and in all your gettings get understanding, Proverbs 4:7.  What this means is that no matter what it is that we have gotten without these two things what we have gotten will not be too useful to us, we can't make much out of them.  And who wants to accumulate things that are not useful to him? As important as knowledge is, it is just an accumulation of information.  Understanding processes those information and WIsdom applies it in such a way that it becomes useful to us for practical living.  As important as reading the Word of God is, until it begins to dwell in us in all wisdom we don't profit much from it, Colossians 3:16a.  Before we can say we are rich in the Word of God, it is at the wisdom level not knowledge level.  It is wisdom ...

OTHER FEATURES OF GOOD CHARACTER  2Peter 1:5-11 COURAGE: Courage is the ability to do a seemingly difficult thing or step in the presence of fear.  Courage does not mean absence of fear but the inability of fear to stop you from taking a step or moving towards your goal. It is one of the attributes of good character.  Be strong and courageous, God admonished Joahua many times to motivate him to do what He has commanded him to do, Joshua 1:6,7&9.  Courage becomes a currency when added to other attributes of good character because it helps you do the seemingly impossible and surmount your fears to achieve great feats. GRIT: Simply put, Grit is resolve. If you don't have grit you can't be great because there are too many things out there that are set to discourage you.  A man that has grit is a determined man. He is unwavering in that which he has resolved to do or believe.  Many get easily discouraged at the first sign of opposition or rejection to thei...

LIFE CURRENCIES CURRENCY NUMBER 5 GOOD CHARACTER 2Peter 1:5-11 One important characteristic that we must always have is the desire to want to get better. It is a powerful force.  There is no limit to a man that always aspire to get better. Even if you don't have all these qualities now or you have them in small measures, your desire and your decision to get better will drive you to possess them. A man through desire  intermeddleth with all wisdom, Proverbs 18:1.  If there is one thing that must not die in your life as a believer it is your hunger and thirst for God, Matthew 5:6  It is the driving force that keeps pushing you to press for more. Don't retain your taste, allow the Holy Spirit to pour you from vessel from vessel.  Good character is a currency and it comprises of quite a number of features that is summed up in one thing 'the fear of the Lord'.  I am going to list some of the features instead of making them a topic one by one and I will explain s...

LIFE CURRENCIES CURRENCY NUMBER 4 HONOUR AND RESPECT Romans 12:10 Honour and Respect are two life currencies that many people have not mastered well, particularly the younger generation(youth).  Just the same way honour and respect can open a door for you that money cannot open, disrespect and dishonour can also close a door against you.  So, we must master these two life currencies. They are a force. Let these two forces always go ahead of you in whatever you do. Give honour to whom honour is due and respect people whether great or small, poor or rich.  Some will take it for granted, some will read meaning into it, but many will respond to it positively. Life is such that you will never be able to do everything by yourself, you need others to do things for you.  There will be places in life where you need someone to speak for you. What will the person say about you?  The cheapest way to write your name in the good book of people is to honour and respect ...

LIFE CURRENCY NUMBER 3 (PART 2) Psalm 78:8, Proverbs 17:17 I will continue from where I stopped in my last post.  I started by showing us what loyalty and committment means and the differences between the two.  I also talked about how you may need either or both at different times and seasons in your life.  I also showed us how that both are a two edged responsibility, loyalty and committment from others to you and from you to others.  My post today will be addressed to those of us who have found a course or an entity(person or organization) to which we have to be loyal.  Don't forget we are still talking about loyalty and committment as one of the currencies of life.  Just the same way you can use money to make purchases in life you can also use loyalty and committment to make purchases in life.  I want to assume that the people I am talking to today have found a course to which they have to be loyal or committed or both.  If you have not, ask Go...

LIFE CURRENCY NUMBER THREE Psalm 78:8, Proverbs 17:17 The third currency is loyalty and committment. Let's define these two terms.  What is loyalty? Loyalty is devotion or faithfulness to a nation, course, philosophy, country, group or person.  What is committment? Committment is willingness to give your time and energy to a job, activity or something that you believe in.  Both look like the same but they are different. You can be committed and not loyal but you can't be loyal and not be committed.  Many people are committed only for a short period of time and only for as long as what they are committed to is working.  However, loyalty is allegiance and committment over a long period of time, both through thick and thin.  A loyal person is someone that even when he or she knows that you are not yet who you suppose to be they stick with you through your failures and trials helping you to get better and they are there still when things begin to work well too ...
